    The poor quality of the players must be down to the management that includes the team boss and executives on the board for signing up these players in the first place. If I was the Pompey manager and executives I would set up a big scouting in South London and compete with the likes of Millwall, Charlton, Palace and Wimbledon in this vast ocean of untapped talent. The idea of signing players from League 1 clubs like Westcarr, Taylor beggars belief.

    In other news, I was at Roots Hall again today - another 0-0 to write the official report on. Ah well. Team booed and manager heckled.

    In better news, I now get access-all-areas and multiple pages given over to me in the programme. Booed and heckled by my mates in the cheap seats. :)

    That Bamford actually 'looks' like a Saints player, a kind of Rodriguez-Shaw-Prowse. We weren't as obviously upwardly mobile when he dumped us out of the youth cup back in our Champ days, and subsequently signed for that London team which always gives youth a chance.

    Still I like the idea of going for Ings, he make things happen and uniquely turns link up play and finishing combinations to verbs, imagine the Clynings, Corkings, Fontings, Longings, AND yer Schneiderlings and Pellerings.

    Chris Hughton becomes manager of Brighton after Sami Hyypia finally realised that his little game of playing football manager wasn't much fun. Now they have a real chance of getting back on track.

    Taken me ages to find the football league thread, and I was only going to mention the Scottish FL anyway.

    It was that Dumbarton were 1-0 up away at Rangers, but it's taken me so long Rangers have equalised.
