Targett slipped and Fabregas moved into him to get the penalty. There was contact, but I'd have to see it again before being convinced Targett caused the contact.
Very good point won today by Saints against the best side in the PL. Big Vic was damn impressive i thought, as was our 2nd string defensive line up. How we kept it to 1 -1 is beyond me but they did it. Chelsea seemed to want to walk the ball into the net and had few shots. Hazard was terrific and some effort to restrict him to one goal.
I missed it due to being at another 0-0 for Southend. Was following Saints online and celebrated the Mané goal. Probably good for my health that I couldn't watch or listen, though.

When we brought Long on Chelsea took a quick free kick as he entered the field. Long was no where near his position on the left. Shouldn't the referee wait for him to get in position first? Extreme example, but imagine that was a replacement keeper and he let them take a quick one.
As shown today Targett is a very good deputy, as McCarthy will prove to be for Clyne (hoping he plays against Arse), but Bertie is probably the most inform wingback in the league and is more attack minded than Targett at the moment. Once Targett gets more games he will have the confidence to push forward more (just as Shaw was concentrating on defence for his first 10 games which is totally fair). The 3 at the back will also give the young fullbacks more security to push forward. Thought he was excellent both in defence and when he got forward in the first half
Mourinho will probably get fined - really don't see why managers get fined for pointing out valid mistakes by referees.
Mourihno can do one. Fabregas should have been sent off for kicking the ball away and dissent. It was a penalty, but these things happen. Their diving and surrounding the ref was a disgrace.
