Exactly what I was thinking today At least if we do go down some of these will piss off. Some fans just pick on certain players like Meyler and Ramirez at the moment
I don't know why you bring these stats up like they matter. The team that won deserved to win. We were resolute today and I think that we'd still have a clean sheet if the game was still going now, you didn't look like scoring to me. Yes you've had a few shots but to say that Hamer was forced into work is a mile away from the truth, he didn't really have to make a big save. Nor did McGregor but he makes a mistake and its 1-0. You lost because you didn't have a moment of magic to carve out a really good chance. Floated crosses are always going to work, but it takes a very good header or volley to score from one and you couldn't muster it. Learn from it and go to the next game having learnt your lesson. If Quinn doesn't handball it then Nugent is through on goal to make it 2-0, which would have been a fair scoreline. I have no idea why Bruce thinks he'll be able to get it rescinded.
The South is at its noisiest when we're playing **** and they can all have a good loud moan. I'm in there too, does my head in. There's a woman near me exactly how Cortez describes who screams her abuse at the players at such a volume and such a high pitched voice it actually hurts your eardrums. Thankfully she appeared to have ****ed off elsewhere today.
Yeah but after 5 minutes?? It's no help and you can see the players getting rid of the ball to quick has a result
You didn't deserve to win but congrats on what will be one of very few victories for you , your doomed your just to football blind to see it .
What were you watching? Your team didn't do much for large parts of the game except time waste (I'm not moaning about time wasting, all teams do it). Didn't look like scoring? We had two cleared off the line which shows desperation in defending. Two hit the post. You don't come much closer to "looking like scoring".
Have I said otherwise? We've won once in 15 games and taken a total of 5 points. But on today's showing, this'll be a Championship fixture next season for sure.
Expressing their frustration isn't going to help improve the performance. It'll only make things worse in the long run.
You say desperation, I say quality. Look, whinge all you like but you've got to put the round thing in the net. We did, you didn't. We got the goal and sat back, like a side desperate for points should do. Why would I moan about not looking like scoring when we've won? We came out the better side attacking wise, got our goal, defended valiantly and got the points. I don't think you can complain at being unlucky when actually we've won through a very good bit of skill and some dogged defending. Isn't that what football is all about? Missing good chances isn't misfortune, it's bad play and that was the difference today. We took our half chance and that really is all there is to it.
When I was in E1 we some right idiots behind us. They'd say stuff like 'Turn inside, oh not that way', 'To easy City', 'Get the ball forward' and then moan when we lost it.
Couldn't agree more we look poor and have done for a while , our fixtures for the last six weeks of the season are horrendous .
I'm not whinging about anything. I'd be thrilled if we come away from your place with a 1-0 win after you spurned similar chances. But some of your claims like us not looking like scoring are pretty silly. Make your mind up about he desperation thing. You've contradicted yourself there in one post.
Have I? I said that we were quality in our defending. You've floated this desperation idea for some reason. We were resolute, I bet you wish you were today.
We definitely did look like scoring, so much so that on 3 occasions I jumped in the air, fists clenched, about to go mad celebrating... Only to find that the ball had somehow bounced somewhere else. 3 ****ing times.
Lets face it Leicester were poor at best. Worst team I can remember at the KC for a long time. They hoofed it nearly everytime they had the ball (which wasn't often), they timewasted and appeared to be the rugby team from their city not the football team. They are going down. But they got the 3 points today by a bit of luck and liked the Nige love in at final whistle like they'd won the league. Championship beckons again for the crisp munchers.
I thought you defended poorly but, as you said, we didn't have the quality to score. We created some chances but broadly speaking we huffed and puffed, broke down the wings and put the ball in the box. You had one good chance and took it. Very much like us under Nigel Pearson. Come the end of the season we'll be both hoping we've scrapped together enough points to ensure there are three teams below us.
