The title says it all. I don't know how anyone can defend Bruce right now, any club would sack their manager if they had a record as bad as this. Today we started a home game against the team bottom of the league with a centre midfielder at right back a right back at left back and no strikers on the pitch. One home win all season and none of the big teams apart from Man City have been here. How much longer do we give him to turn it around before it's to late, all I here is people saying give him time don't panic, well I am worried. 3 wins this season, 7 wins in a calendar year, this is a shocking record that a manager deserves to be sacked for. Appalling team selection today, I know that team won at Sunderland but this was at home to the bottom of the league team, with no strikers on the pitch. I've been saying it for a while but this is the first time I think I really mean it, BRUCE OUT!!!!
Just heard a quote from Brucey that the "players are nervous at home." Probably one of the worst excuses I've heard for losing a game/succession of games at home. Played 3 quite crap teams in West Brom, Swansea and now Leicester and have had ONE point from nine. No ambition, no drive... there needs to be one hell of a performance against a struggling Everton team!
Please don't let him squander any more cash in the transfer window. The Championship is a reality for next season and a wage bill through the roof already.
If we were an established premier league team then you may have a point. The fact is though we're not and despite your stats we still stayed up last season and there are still 3 teams with poorer records than ourselves this season as it stands. So please just go remove your head from out your own arse. Cheers
Bruce said this game is bigger than the FA Cup final, yet he starts it with no ****ing striker, mental! This is the sign of a manager who has lost it.
I reckon it's you that needs to take your head out of Steve Bruce's arse to be honest. His record this year is shocking. He started today's game with £20 million worth of forwards on the bench and none on the pitch, that is ****ing nuts.
This stat over the course of the year is absolute worth ****e. Different team. Different league and different squads.
The title doesn't say it all. We were safe by mid March (realistically) and had an FA Cup run being focused on. No wonder the wins tailed off in the first half of 2014.
Always great when you ignore the fact that there is a massive gap in the middle of the year where EVERY team changes around. But of course, a thing like that gets in the way of the anti-Bruce brigade, so they ignore it. Isn't it funny how many people forget that we aren't an established team?
So £25m spent in the last transfer window but 6 wins in about a year, 3 wins in the last 13 (?) games, £16m of strikers sat on the bench, unfathomable team selections with square pegs jammed royally in round h0les, dwindling crowds, getting beaten at home by a relegation cert, KO'd from Europe with a whimper, the club's owner completely at odds with the fans re the name change, the "marketing department" floundering cluelessly pulling the club apart from inside, debts off the scale to the owner, FFP investigaation pending, £10m striker can't hit a barn door.
Are you ******ed or something!! Different league? Yes different squad but this one is supposed to be better that last years.
I knew this result would mean that the shrill knee-jerkers would be out in force tonight, but I wanted still to see some rational debate on the game. We have so many **** fans.
Ok let's all praise Bruce for achieving the immense record of 7 wins in a calendar year, pissing away our first European adventure with **** team selections and for continually failing to achieve results.
The wage bill wont be to big of an issue if we are relegated. We will have relegation clauses in this time around and most of the higher earners will be sold if we are relegated anyway.
