It's Chelsea you are going to defend most of the game. It is also a bit obvious why people get nervous when a big team attacks. It was a great result.
They are a very good team indeed, but they are not Barcelona under Guardiola. They are not unplayable. I believe in qualities of our team and I think we have the quality to hurt them, but with our team selection and game plan today we solely concentrated on obstructing their game.
If we had Clyne and Bertrand you MAY have had a point but our options were somewhat limited on the flanks. If we had gone for the win we would have lost.
I'm not angry at Morgan in the slightest, as soon as i saw it i though, good man. Took one for the team and only misses one game.
Every player put his body on the line there and even though we were under the kosh for most of the second half I was loving it (been drinking.) Eveyr time they got close to the box our player thundered up to them and were determined to make sure the block was made. Not blaming Yoshida for their goal. He was on his own, made the tackle and couldn't get the second ball. My MOTM was schneiderlin because he just donned that first half and when he could get the ball in the second half (which wasn't often) he calmed our play a little. Plus he took one for the side at the end there. Davis was close becaus ehe was phenomenal today. Defence attack..........wish he could shoot. And Fonte WOW. I'm sure his blood is red and white. As for Fabregas and his OMG for being booked. **** YOUR CONTACT if you move your foot into a player. So they had less shots, doesn't mean they were less dominant. We had many bodies in the box, the area was hugely congested and there was no free space for them to sneak a shot. We did defend well, it is true. But Chelsea were on the front foot almost all the time and they were always looking likely to create something. I never felt we were comfortable in sustaining their attacks and I suspect others felt the same.
