Social Saints: Updates on the latest social media posts from Saints players and staff

A lot are run by PR firms or by the agents they have. Koeman is probably the only Saints related guy that all tweets are his own.

 

Presumably with the permission of the player..?

I just love it when rumours of bad news are looked upon as The Truth, but when rumours of good news come along it's considered complete balderdash.

 

If someone ran an account for me, I would let them post fact i.e. went to Adidas for shoe fitting, but I wouldn't let them post opinions i.e. I am thrilled for player X on his debut. JRod is obviously not an avid twitter fan (well done for that), but I bet he posts occasionally if he has something to say.

 

PR firms or agencies only deal with good news , it's the reason why players hire them to protect their image.

 

I have a feeling he doesn't post at all tbh.

I think we can now safely assume Jay doesn't use twitter all it is used for is to hightlight BerwickSports and clothing brands.

Nice touch from the Wotsit who must have been a bit disappointed not to get any time on the pitch himself.

 

In which case, if it's all heavily controlled by agencies, how come there is any bad news allowed out there at all..? Personally, I think that when it says... my views are are my own, by and large they are. For example, did Morgan only write his rant in pre-season, and everything else since has been written by an agency..? No, that's too convenient and doesn't fit any persuasive debate. I'm sure JayRod writes his own stuff occasionally, and occasionally he writes what his sponsors ask him to write, but that's pretty much as far as it goes., in my opinion. I'm sure that encouraging other players, giving cheers to teammates performances, giving personal updates on fitness and mood, good or bad, are entirely his own.

 

Not hard for some one else to log on to your account. It isn't the players tweeting(posting) some of this stuff. It is their agents/ PR firms. It is not that hard to see when they do either.

 

I think Morgan does his own tweets, as do Graziano and Shane. JWP's tweets are not all him, a large number are messages copied from his Instagram account, which he does run. He's never been too keen on Twitter, I've been told. Jay didn't want to start tweeting particularly, so most of it is done for him, and was only set-up to promote the arrival of his website, being run by his agency. Most of the Saints lads run their own, but JWP and Jay at the very least have someone ghost-tweeting for them now and then.

 

I bet they all have ghost writers now and again. It's just Jay uses them a hell of a lot.

 

JWP probably didn't post the selfie of Gareth Bale in Madrid himself.

I can assure you that if it's anything like music (which I presume it is), it'll be exactly this. Mainly a PR person, but the actual player can log in and drop their view in as and when they like.
