Interesting. 2 years running we have induced sackings following boxing day wins where we score 3 goals away. Could this be an annual tradition?!

 

It's a Saints tradition that goes as far back as I can remember. For example, Ron Atkinson lost his job at ManU because he lost to Saints, and they appointed bloody Fergie. In retrospect, I almost wish we'd let them win. But Lawrie's team were good, and ManU were set upon Fergie. We just gave them the nudge they needed.

Every manager under pressure of the sack loses their job once they lose to us. There was a time when it might have held shame [whhaaattt, you lost to that team..?], but within the present era, losing to Saints is getting to be a rather large club of clubs.

 

Nigel would be good at Newcastle. An attacking 4-4-2 side.
