I was thinking the same myself that's the type of side we used to have, light years away now unfortunately.
This Chelsea side for me are the closest team to resemble the invincibles, thankfully they have lost. They have very nice flair in attack, and a very solid defence base in midfield and defence. It's also a very tight knit squad just like the invincibles without a lot of tinkering week in week out. Chelsea basically have it right, they have the small flair players Wenger likes, your Hazards, Oscars, and Fabregas. But added to that, to compliment these players they have those strong and big players as well to add strength and muscle to the team like your Costas, Matics, Terrys, and Ivanovics. it's so frustrating as to why Wenger can't just get it right, he persists to have a team full of technical players rather than adding strong solid big players like he did during his first reign 98-2005. If he just added that solidity to the team, we could go places, but he continually refuses to do so. **** me man, all respect to Arteta, but he's our main DMF? What a bloody joke.
Not bringing Fabregas back is a decision that looks worse and worse as each week goes by. I cannot see Chelsea losing this title unless they **** it up for themselves by becoming lazy, complacent and arrogant. Hmmm.............
Didn't know where else to put this but like WTF is going on at your club please log in to view this image
Warnock fired from Crystal Palace is the first manager to face the chop this season. Can't imagine he will be the only one to go before the season finishes. We'll have to wait and see who is next!
If you were to pick a best XI from Arsenal 04 and Chelsea 15, I think Arsenal 04 would shade it, but we will strengthen next summer and be even better next season. Both sides do not seem to smash teams though, being relatively low goalscorers, compared to other title winners. Courtois Iva Terry Campbell Ash Vieira Matic Hazard Bergkamp Pires Henry
That is a seriously powerful side. I would probably (being biased) substitute Hazard for Ljungberg who was amazing for us in the 04 season... Otherwise there is not much I would change.
I can't get on with all of this Chelsea cock sucking. As far as I'm concerned they would still be a two bit yo-yo club like Milwall if it wasn't for Roman's roubles. We might not have had as much recent success as them, but we've earned our honours over the decades through hard work and guile, not relying on a sugar daddy to buy it for us.
Courtois Iva Terry Campbell Cole Vieira Fabregas Ljunberg Hazard Pires Henry Subs: Lehmann, Costa, Bergkamp, Azpuleta whatever his name is, Matic, Toure, Edu
I am shocked you don't pick Berkamp. Would be the first name on the teamsheet for me - instead of Ljunberg, pushing Hazard wide.
I don't think these Chelsea scum deserve to even be mentioned in the same sentence. What exactly has this team done? They aren't unbeaten, they haven't won anything and they were trophy less last year. No idea why all the bum loving. City played like Chelsea are now, a couple of seasons ago and looked unbeatable in the first half of the season, but it didn't last and people didn't start comparing them to the invincibles. Totally over the top. Get over it, they aren't that good. If come the end of the season they've won a haul of trophies by all means continue the sucking off, but until then they are nobodies
loved that quote. what did Lord sugar say about Jose - "'Special One'? Get him down to Leyton Orient and we'll see how special he really is!" chelsea have only won 4 league titles compared to arsenal 13 chelsea have won 7 FA Cups compared to arsenal 11
I think his exact words were: 'I'd like to see how bloody special he is down at Leyton Orient !' ****ing right too, Maureen is class A prick. He's always been given a huge transfer budget he has only even been able to get success on the back of being handed a huge warchest and when the **** has his the fan, he just packs his bags and ****s off. Also the **** cannot take any criticism whatsoever, he acts like a little spoilt child and throws a strop when anybody points out his failings and when things don't go his way he starts going all tin foil hat and blathering on about a 'conspiracy' Theoretically, if he'd been managing Arsenal over the last 10 years (he would have ****ed off long ago) then the **** would have had us sinking faster than a stone, because he cannot manage a team without having £100m ready to chuck at it if it's not working out.
Well said Piskie. If Chelsea want respect for thier achievements they should only get it from City fans. A like minded club with the same intention of destroying football through a false economy and financial immorality. Yeah they have won a few trophies but who really gives a ****. I hope the wheels fall off Jose's special blue bus.
Naa not really. I resepect hard work and building on what you have earned. Sorry mate but that excludes Chelsea and City.
