As always it was an enjoyable, though thankless task to find the three, and I hope that both those that weren´t chosen, as well as those that were, will return again next year for a new challenge. Thank you! 3rd goes to.......... With fifty per cent limerick possession And not one in a mood of depression, The chances were good That wi-exile would Find one which would make an impression `With different nationals how do we feed´em Hooiveld I´m sure likes his Edam, With haggis with mash Pickled herring and goulash Keep dishing it up ´cause we need´em.` 2nd goes to............. From King´s Lynn stilljaroldcanary Whose message comes across loud and cleary, We all can agree That what we want to see Is the following, to make us cheery `Come on City fans never fear Soon our boys will get in top gear, And soon you will see That our destiny Is to be top at the end of the year.` 1st goes to........... From up on the North Norfolk coast In praise of a young lad we toast, Cromercanary Felt it necessary To describe it better than most `A tricky young wide man called Redders Turned out to be quite good at headers, He twists, feints and turns With enough pace to burn And on up the table he led us.` You´ll know, just as soon as I do, which match programme they will appear in. rbf
Hi skald bor, We have pulled up the drawbridge and beginning to make it Fortress Carrow Road again. Interesting fixtures coming up in January, end of month should give us a good indication if we can achieve our objective. Has Muttley gone aloof and no longer says "Woof." Thought he could have improved on my feeble contribution LOL. (Or his master on his behalf) !
Afternoon NORKIE, all well with you I hope, all well and crispy white over here, Muttley not lost his voice, just having his post Christmas snooze.
Congratulations to all three winners and a huge thank you to RBF, it would not be Christmas without our Canary Limerick Challenge!
No chance with poor grammar, when you shorten "would have," you leave out the "h" and the "a" and put an apostrophe in their place, not change the whole word to "of", it doesn't make sense!
