If Southampton don't win then I will give someone else a go! - Tough prediction. Southampton have rediscovered their form with 6 goals in 2 games. I expect Saints to have a go, rather than be cautious. Saints will be looking to make amends for their 2-1 defeat to Manchester United, the last big side they played. Southampton completely dominated that game but fell to a 2-1 defeat. They will be desperate to get at least a point against Chelsea. Prediction: 2-2
Cracking match thread, just one teeny tiny problem. Bertrand cannot play against Chelsea so Targett will have to.

Thanks. My mistake. I copied and pasted some stuff from the last thread. I forgot about Bertrand. Thanks. I couldn't find that on the Premier League site. It still had today's info up.
Your 100% win rate on match threads may be our best chance of getting anything out of this one. Chelsea look irresistible at the moment. So, with that in mind. I predict 3-1 to Saints
I'd be chuffed to get anything out of this match. Chelsea are the team to beat and a draw would suit me just fine I'll go with a 1-0 smash and grab victory on the back of a heroic defensive performance. I know it unrealistic but being a saints fan means having blind optimism course through my veins....along with whiskey.
I don't see it as impossible to get something out of this game. We are a very good side, at home, with renewed confidence and Chelsea have been beaten this year. One disadvantage is that I don't think they will take us lightly. I'd snatch your hand off for a draw and go for the win against Arsenal, but I can see us winning on Sunday.
Would be shocked if we pull of any kind of a result here. Fabregas and Matic have been incredible all season. 1-3 Chelsea unfortunately is my prediction.
Will be very hard to get even a draw but who knows. If we can rile up Costa which seems quite easy then we may be able to get sonething.
Anything we get here is an unexpected bonus so I'll go into this game relaxed. We've got 2 wins in a row so not fussed should we lose, just put in a decent performance please Saints.
This might sound a bit on the funky side, but I would like to see Mane and Long playing together up front for this, with Pelle on the bench. Nothing against Pelle, but big lumpy strikers are bread and butter for Terry and Cahill. They didn't give Carroll a sniff yesterday. However, neither of them are that fast, and with this being the second game in three days, they're bound to be even more vulnerable to pace. Mane and Long could cause all sorts of mayhem.
Just watched football focus, and my god Mark Lawro paid us a compliment he said we are a very football side and Clyne is getting better each week.
Fonte for Gardos. Restricting Chelsea's space around the edge of our box will be important, so Vic has to come back in. I really don't want to drop any of the CMs, but unfortunately one will have to go. It might have to be JWP. Long for Mane, to keep freshening Pelle's partner up during this busy schedule.
Your logic is sound. But I would say that Metersacker dislikes pace even more than those two. I'd be preserving Mane for Arsenal.
