Good Morning Everyone, Welcome to the new look forum. Please bare with the board whilst the teething changes are made. In the long run, it will be a lot better, easier to navigate and should be able to do a lot more. Details to to unveiled later.... Looking back at yesterdays game:- Wigan won their second game in 17 attempts; at Elland Road..... Our defenders do not look comfortable on the ball..... As soon at Bellusci is fit, Pearce (our Captain) is dropped...... Disharmony in the dressing room. Sharp loses it, kicks over water bottles, and strops off to the dressing room, when subbed. We had 25 shots at goal. But did we look like scoring?
New look is awful, but we knew that from the beta. Three defeats in 8 days coming up. Redfearn to be sacked, the dog botherer we know nothing about promoted. Oh god can Cellino just **** off.
Morning all, not many of those shots were on target looking at the stats. So much hope at the start of the season and the same crap different owner/manager/coach come Christmas. We should be getting used to it by now. Don't think it will be too much longer before the Cellino supporters start turning on him now realising his signings were all second rate at best.
Morning all. Same **** different day. Hate the look of the site btw, looks sort of half developed. As for Leeds, I think the Cellino out brigade will soon get their wish. Will be interesting though, who, from the massive queue of would be buyers will step forward, clear all the debts, sign a top class manager, buy all young valuable English players, reinstate all the sacked staff and buy back Elland Road and Thorp, maybe even reduce ticket prices to satisfy the remaining few. Get ****ing real guys, if he goes, and I for one am past caring, his replacement will be just another dodo who will loosen a few of the remaining bolts in the ship. We are heading in one direction only and hopefully this time we can bounce back. Wh knows, in a couple of seasons we could be discussing topics like " Isnt it great to see Byram doing so well with Milwall in the PL" or "pity we couldnt have held on to Doukara, hes doing so well at Hull"
I think in the long term the board will be better and we'll be able to do more things like cross match thread etc
Morning all New look is too blocky for my liking. Preferred the last one look. Glory I don't think we'll be getting Rid of Redders any time soon. If we did we could spend a lot of time with out a head coach or manager. At this point in time any coach worth his salt will take one look at 3 manager in half a season and think '**** That ****'. I know I wouldn't go for it when the average managerial career at Leeds is 1 -2 months this season and a nice slagging off at the end. No wonder there's disharmony in the dressing room. There are too many new players in the squad. I think playing football manager over the summer has not helped our cause. Sharp should know better than to act so foolish and childish. The problem with the forwards is we've replaced a strike force that got us 51 goals last season and replacing them with a strike force that will likely net us 30 goals at best. Yes £11 million is good but we do need those goals if we're going to survive. Time for Celino to go. Granted in hindsight I don't think he should have come. It's been nothing but problems for the last year. Sadly with him at the helm all I can see is relegation
TBH the alert thing is better and the bigger blocks for the navigation for the pages is better. You're not squinting to find where you need to click
Took some sorting out. Finally logged on and found out how to navigate back to my previous threads. A few problems found with my spreadsheet Tipster Games layout in transferring to the new set up. Eventually sorted. I think I will eventually like the new set up after I get my head round what the hell to do with formatting tables etc. Progress can be painful
Our defenders do not look comfortable on the ball..... Disagree, Elland. I think our defenders are more self assured than they've been for years! Disharmony in the dressing room. Where have you heard this? What are they upset about? Sharp loses it, kicks over water bottles, and strops off to the dressing room, when subbed. Hopefully he'll strop ff to another club in January. He's a misfit. Could be a good player again, but our style of play doesn't suit him. Not surprised he's unhappy, but we're not going to change just to suit him. Side before self! We had 25 shots at goal. But did we look like scoring? I'm encouraged we had so many shots, but I would have been surprised if we'd scored more than one. You have to see it in context. Wigan, thanks to our early gift to them, defended in numbers & packed the penalty box. We had plenty of time to fire in shots, but most were well outside the box. You can shoot from there all day & struggle to get on target. The positive to take from it though was that we didn't just shoot - we created loads & loads of challenges. Downside? No-one there to convert any of the chances, unfortunately.
Sadly there is no alternative to Cellino lined up and going down a division will be no better as Cellino will not change his style. I did hope originally that we would strike it lucky and find a coach that would work and that Cellino would bring in 4-5 players that would make a difference. As it stands he has brought 15 players in who are making no difference and if I remember right only 5 of those were on the pitch come the end of the game yesterday, 10 players not good enough to dislodge last seasons players or last seasons youth team!!
Oh come on! Get a grip! How many teams bring in players that are all instant successes? Especially when they are mostly kids. Not all of the 15 were brought in to make an instant impact. Some were brought in to groom for the future, some to hopefully make the 1st team. Most were brought in to have a look at in one of the aforesaid categories, prior to a stick or bust decision being made on each of them. An admirable strategy, given the dearth of talent in our squad at the time, plus our precarious financial position. Add to that that most are foreigners, and these guys notoriously struggle to settle in their first season in england. The further issue is the pressure on a player when he joins a major club like Leeds. There's quite a long, long list of failures, and very few of them tryouts - loads of internationals have failed to make their mark with us. I don't think it's fair to have a pop at these players given the difficulties they face. If you were a journo, I'd say your post was either lazy journalism or speculative sensationalism. To paraphrase Alice Cooper "Leave the Kids Alone!".
Some of the kids were brought in for the future, not this season.Cook,Mowatt even Adryan are all 5 or 6 years from hitting their prime,we will have to wait and see if Cellino thinks Adryan is doing enough to pay the large fee,but I for 1 hope so.
