Don't count on it being 4. I don't know how many people who go on about the Confed Cup actually watched it but when I saw a bunch of his "highlights" or something I saw a lot of bad control and somehow bundling through players to get a shot in. It didn't really look impressive to me.

But there you - history has been written and now people will quote it back to us to support various arguments. The same as how Bale was **** for Spurs for the first few years. And of course history shows us that Messi was the very best player at the World Cup this year.

Oh, good. I'd still prefer to seem him loaned out locally (QPR, Palace, maybe even Brentford or Fulham?), but playing him in the U21s might work.

The club announced yonks ago that their first communications to fans would be through the social networking sites and ahead of the official site. Doesn't excuse a 3 day gap though, if that was the case.

Seattle Sounders' tribute to Yedlin, who has had some of the worst hairstyles and fashion choices in the history of mankind:

If he came over with one of those modified mullets then he can go straight back to Seattle <laugh>

Seriously speaking he looks a very talented lad with blistering pace, Theirry Henry also says the lad "can jump" too, which is actually a bonus attribute when you're a full back (or potential winger?). Despite the eccentric style sense, he seems a down to earth type of guy too, someone who won't have much of an ego so should fit in well with the rest of the squad.

From the clips i've seen of him and the games in the world cup he seems pretty similar to Walker. I was actually really impressed with him in the WC, i think it was against Belgium, so not a terrible team either.

Remember a few weeks ago how there was rumours that the reason Balotelli was given the January spot on Liverpool's 2015 calendar in case they sold him? Adebayor is January for ours...

Would someone please describe to me why we want so many right backs when we are crying out for a proven goalscorer...or two? Or are Spurs clearing the decks in the former department as well as some of our more useless forwards......?

Poch's system requires full backs that get forward quickly to support the attack - Walker, Rose, Davies and (judging by the World Cup) Yedlin do this, while Naughton is not as effective getting forward and as a result he's a weak link in the system and needs replacing.

It's just as important to have players that will create chances as it is to have one that will put it away. Having a player who can put away chances isn't enough if the system doesn't get the ball to them - as evidenced by Santini's tenure or AVB's second season.

Yedlin can put them away as well.

HBIC January spot on a team's calendar is always a sign that the player might be on his way out.

Considering we had them all out at the same time then imo we can't have enough RB's <laugh>

Read a rumour that we are interested in Cabaye from PSG, apparently not happy about the lack of game time!
Was decent at Newcastle but followed the money.

Good player and pretty much what we need, but we've got a lot of options in his position at the moment.

It seems we're linked to pretty much every PSG second-sting midfielder, as Rabiot's name keeps popping up, too - a few weeks ago an Italian paper said Baldini had agreed a deal for January, and L'Equipe said talks were at an "advanced stage" yesterday (while other sites say he'll be loaned for the second half of the season, implying somebody is headed for the exit)

Naughton not making the squad for our last two games, coup[led with Yedlin's arrival and Chiriches being drafted in as a backup right back, implies he won't be at the club come February 1st.

I still think a striker is a top priority, despite Kane's emergence. He can't play every game and if he gets injured, were ****ed!..

Kaboul, Capoue, Lennon and Adebayor also seem to be way down the pecking order. Perhaps selling those 4 and Naughton could raise enough get us a decent young striker?
