It's now the Neil Hudgell Solicitors Community East Stand.

    See article http://www.hullcityafc.net/page/NewsDetail/0,,10338~2386505,00.html

The latest in a series of sponsorship announcements from the KC Stadium sees Neil Hudgell Solicitors - last season's back-of-shirt sponsor with Hull City AFC - sign up to an enhanced deal with a community focus as it begins its sponsorship of the Neil Hudgell Solicitors Community East Stand.

A high profile company in the region, Neil Hudgell Solicitors specialises in personal injury and medical negligence claims.

As well as sponsoring the Neil Hudgell Solicitors Community East stand, Neil Hudgell Solicitors will be giving away ten tickets to every Tigers home league game. These will be awarded to Community Heroes - people nominated by their friends, colleagues or family for the good work and the positive contribution they make to their local community in the Hull area.

The focus on the community aspect of sponsorship has pleased Tigers' Commercial manager Linton Brown: "We are extremely happy to welcome Neil Hudgell Solicitors as sponsor of our East Stand, and I am personally thrilled at the community aspect of the deal, as this perfectly complements our community strategy to promote and recognise positive actions by the people of Hull through sport. I fully expect the Community Heroes initiative to be a huge success.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank Neil and Neil Hudgell Solicitors for their continued support."

Neil Hudgell, Managing Director of Neil Hudgell Solicitors added: "I'm delighted to renew our sponsorship at Hull City, to back the team and also, through the Community Heroes ticket give-away, to thank local people who do their bit to help others in their area."

To nominate a Community Hero - someone who makes a real difference to others' lives at home, at school or in the wider community - please send details via email to [email protected] or by post to Neil Hudgell Solicitors, 530 Holderness Road, Hull, HU9 3DT.

Nominations are open from now until the end of the 2011/12 season. Please state the name of the person you are nominating and the reasons why along with a contact telephone number.

Will black & white fans enjoy sitting in a stand named after the Rovers chairman?

Whatever it is, it's a mouthful for our resident announcer/ Asda DJ to say.

Jeez, could our sponsorship deals possibly get any worse, ****ing ambulance chasers and ones with a stand at Bellend Road.

    What's next?

The Genital Wart Removal North Stand?

    The Kiddie Porn South Stand?

Ben Cockayne is a good shout, always helping the police with their enquiries. A true community hero.

In fairness it's better than Cash Converters, all ambulance chasers do negatively is encourage whinging about nothing, Cash Converters encourage burglary by giving the junkies somewhere to easily dispose of their stolen goods.

Would anyone care to respond to tigermarv's enquiry?
According to a poster on the daily fail site, stadium sponsorship deals go to the stadium management company and not to the football club. Does anyone know if this is true or not?

As the SMC is run as part of Hull City AFC, it really doesn't make any difference, they are really one and the same.

Ta for that, I was under the impression that they were two different companies with seperate roles. Both owned by the same people, but with different sets of accounts.

They are run as separate businesses, in that they do produce separate accounts, but the SMC is really just run as a subsidiary of the football club.

Why don't we just call it the east stand for a change. We probably don't need the money at all.

The sponsorship deals seem to be the wrong way round. Perhaps cranswick and the ambulance chasers could swap?

All we need is for the South Stand to be "The uneven pavement Stand", and we have a perfect sponsorship alliance.

People take a trip down to Cash Converters, fall on the pavement when leaving, then hook up with Neil Hudgell. Once people have blown all their money on TV's and Gold, the cycle can start again.

You know the blunts and the wendies and even the mighty leeds do'nt even have a shirt sponsor yet and you lot are whining about the 300k coming in from cash converters!
Mark Maguire seems to be earning his pay from what I can see and we should get off our high horse and stop worrying about who is sponsoring what.
You think we are such a huge club that we can pick our sponsors on a purely ethical basis?
You starting to sound like a bunch of Leeds United fans now after a couple of seasons in the prem. For the last time it's whats on the inside of the shirt that counts not whats on the outside.
