Here we go... Mignolet Davies Lovren Mangala Shaw Markovic Ben Arfa Mane Balotelli Falcao Ideye I know, I know, two left backs in my team, and maybe too many attackers. Have a go anyway, it's fun!!
Rodgers Lovren Lovren Lovren Shaw Gerrard Lallana Markovic Markovic Balotelli Balotelli (Lambert) Rodgers. Rodgers. Rodgers. I thought they had ambitions of being a champions league club, but maybe that's changed. I Don't have sympathy for him; he didn't have to sign those players. Spending £100m he should be challenging for the title.
Here's mine: Pochettino Brenda Martinez I would say Bruce but then I don't think its a massive surprise any time a Bruce side is teetering on the edge of the PL.
That's what I thought, but I also think he isn't the finished article really. He was the one player who left who would have improved more if he stayed here. Chambers is probably doing better because he is getting more game time at Arsenal than he would here. Lovren is definitely a flop...glad he's doing that at Liverpool...he could have been doing that here
If you spend 30 million on someone who can't get fit, that's a big flop in my book. Flop flop flop. It's got absolutely nothing to do with the fact that he turned his back on us.
Shaw and Falcao have been injured too much for me to personally include them. Most of Newcastle's signings have been utter flops. Riviere, Cabella, and Ferreyra have done nothing. Can't include De Jong in that, because he got injured almost straight away.
Easy for me to say now, but there's no way I would have said Mane was one of the biggest flops in the PL this season. Granted he's not lived up to the high expectations of him yet, but he's had to adjust to a much quicker, more physical and combative league. I think he's going to get better and better as time goes on.
Agree, he has been poor recently prior to today but you can see the boy is raw talent. I said when we signed him that we'll make a nice profit on him in a couple of years.
Perhaps, but I don't even think he that raw. He's quite slick, if you ask me. He just needs to find his place and performance within the team. Hey, it took Morgan several seasons, and he was able to find his level in League One, after being quite ordinary in the Championship first time around. But he was young. And so is Mane to be a star in the PL after being used to a Swiss league.
Falcao is only on loan isn't he initially? If he is then definite flop of a signing so far unless they plan on keeping him
The only reason I included Mane was because I knew that he would read this thread, and it would motivate him for the Palace game. It worked!!
