Just seen Giroud lose the plot by putting his nut onto a QPR defenders head. Does his red mean he'll miss the FA Cup match? Would be welcome!

It's strange mate, we've not played long ball since Martin O'Neil left the club. Had a look and Jozy and Fletcher touched the ball 6 times between them in the last half hour. They got no service at all, long ball and deep crosses. Defenders at this level can deal with those all day long. your back line must have been over the moon, they saw the game out comfortably.

Hopefully we are your new boogie team (4 wins in a row for us against you) as we really are going to need points against you all at the end of the season considering how hard our final run of games is going to be.

Great win which was so badly needed what a relief, some on here go over the top yes i thought it was a strange team but one thing about some of these so called championship players is that they will run there hearts out on the pitch may be they have not got the talent of some of the better players but what they have got is fight and lets be honest we have not seen much of that recently. Hopefully we will get some of our more talented players back soon who will put in that same effort because that's what's needed. Now two big home games and what the team need is backing because let's not be fooled we still have a lot of injuries/suspensions so both games will be hard like every premier game. Up the Tigers (by the way some of you want to look back at some of your posts on this thread what ****e mind you i suppose ive wrote some in the past:laugh:

Are you sure it's not Another One Bites the Dust that you're hearing? They're very similar sounding.

I don't mind admitting that I was really worried about the Slumberland game, I feel more optimistic about the Lesster game. I knew Ramirez was a quality player, but playing him upfront was a masterstroke

    Back from the game.

Those writing us off before the game should be ashamed when the team was announced and are probably the boo boys from last week.

The fans at the game today were class. 110% behind the team and chanted and cheered them on throughout. Even when we conceded early, it would have been easy to get on their backs, but instead encouraged them on. Never stopped singing. Support went through the 6 minutes injury time too.

The players showed at full time that they're very much together in this with their post match actions. Lots of hugging, high fives, applauding/worshipping our fans. In this run, we haven't played too badly and have just suffered some stupid decisions (yet some on here looked past that and moaned for the sake of moaning).

Some positives today are the result and performance first of. We've got a win with a side which started Bruce (some of you used to question his record in the first 11) and we have our first ever Boxing Day win in the Premier League. The rest of the bottom 8 lost - another positive. Even Sagbo looked good when he came on and got stuck in.

All in all, massive day for the club, manager, players and fans. Now it's time to start climbing the table again.

    Bring on Lesta.

Good post. I for one feel fairly berated since I went into this game with my head hanging down and feeling there was little chance of a win. Lets hope we can get another win against Leicester.

Poor internet connection here in Mexico so was following on TP (not the audio just the posts on the side). They posted a goal around the 93rd minute no idea who for though and feared the worst. Typical pessimist!

Bump. Some really stupid comments in the early part of this thread. Great atmosphere in the away end. Thank god we all didn;t have the same attitude as some of this lot.

Just seen some highlights on TV for the first time, and okay, I was uncertain at the time, but the Bruce handball was a clear penalty. Lino at fault for not calling that one.

The Quinn one shortly afterwards looked to hit him in the head. Even if it didn't it would have been harsh.

Just back from the game (made a day of it and saw family up there).

I was puzzled at first with the team selection and it was right to ask questions in places. However, they were still 11 lads who needed our backing and it really is embarrassing to read back some of the hissy fitting on here. The team selection ultimately proved to be right and the most noticeable difference was in midfield. We had much more bite and determination in there and, for the majority of the game, they had won the midfield battle.

This was my first away game since earlier on in the season; they never disappoint in terms of atmosphere! Even when we went 1-0 down early after a horrible error, everyone was still behind the team; there was none of this going all quiet and picking faults with the team and everyone stayed behind the team. Well done to everyone in the away end for creating a cracking atmosphere.

Ramirez had a shaky start but he looked the part today. He worked hard for the team and was creative; we can only hope that this is the player we will see more of. Aluko worked hard up front and was a thorn in the side of The Mackems defense. Quinn, Brady, Meyler, Elmo, Chester and Rosey also played very well. Davies recovered well after his error at the start and Greggsy was largely untested throughout the second half. It was also great to see us look threatening up front and also bring attacking threats (Jela/Ince) off the bench to kill off the game.

The spirit was great today after a shaky start. We were lucky with some of the decisions today but we haven't had much of the rub of the green this season. Our confidence grew as the game went on and we have something to build on ahead of Sunday's game. 3 points against the Foxes will really make things a lot brighter. Just hope on Sunday that the crowd get behind the team like today. None of this hissy fitting or paddying if things aren't going right or how we want, just back the team and show positivity like the fans today showed.
