This is like when we last had ownership problems. Affected the players and we slid down the table. :-(
Ironically, today we had the best referee I've seen at Elland Road in a long while. Superbly fair, & played excellent advantages. No idea who he was. I'm still quite upbeat after this match. Upsides: Apart from the most unusual Cooper mistake, the defence was in control. Bellusci was outstanding, however Byram was MoM. Tonge surprised me by being excellent in midfield, especially as he's not match fit, and not the fleetest of foot. He did most of the DM work, but I'd like to see us invest in an experienced DM. Antenucci was his usual self, I'm glad to say. Downsides: Cook is an asset in midfield, but playing in the hole is not his position, I'm afraid. Mowatt needs a wee rest & it was fairly obvious, IMO. Either that or he's just had a big lunch. Bianchi was mediocre at best. Austin blew hot & cold again & almost decapitated a couple of people in row Z. Sharp proved once again that he has no place in our team, no matter what position he plays (and he was awful on the left today). If he had a target man (like Smith) to feed off, he might be useful to us. He hasn't, and he isn't. Time to go. Morison should have been the big white hope in a game like this. He wasn't. How many more chances? Time to go.
To hit Leage 1 again with our potential is not an option. My opinion is that a lot of our players are not earning their wages, and the difference between a good manager and a nice manager needs to be shown NOW if we are to improve second half of the season. Redders, step up and scare the sh*** out of a few people, things will change. If you can' t do this, you're no man ager.

Jock, many good thoughts. I hope he IS ahead of the game, because the results suggest a cosiness with the players we can't afford, judging by results. I'm happy with consolidation this season, but not relegation. Earn the respect, Redders - you asked for the job, improve our position.

We didn't really look like scoring. All a bit powder puff, the defence was pathetic, Silvestri handled the ball like soap, the midfield was as unusual. When are you going to accept we are ****e plain and simple. We will get nothing from Derby, if Brum turn us over and they might well, we are absolutely in the mire.
