How did McGrandles look? From purely the BBC live feed he seemed at least lively. Superb result. You can't worry about the other results around you, so long as we keep on like this we will be up there for promotion
Just saw the goals from the match on Goals Express. Bradder's first was an absolutely cracking strike.
Good win for you boys today. Just remind me where you are in the table as I don't take any real notice of all the mid table placings!
I'm more bothered that the leaders are still 8 points ahead. When Ipswich are top of the league then I'll care how they're doing relative to us
Absolutely - I though we were awesome. OK, OK it was against a pretty poor Millwall side, but compare today's overall performance with last year's Boxing Day game and it was like 'chalk and cheese!!' I know the quality of the opposition was a lot less, but the way we played today, we could have given most teams a 'run for their money. I was impressed by some of the slick passing, but unfortunately, it was ket down by some woeful finishing - particularly by Jerome in the first half (perhaps i'm being too critical)!! I said to one of the other fans near me before me that, "i'm hoping for 6-0 today", so i wasn't too far out. Let's hope for a win on Sunday and push on to get back into the play-offs!!!
Hard for him to have much of an impact the way we were lined up at the end, and he was playing deeper than he naturally wants to. Howson was making sure he held a deeper-role, even though he was itching to get forwards at times. As to the Russell Martin offside mentioned earlier, he was making an overlapping run on the edge of the box, and made his move too soon. First league game I've made this season, and was very impressed with 65-70 minutes of our play today. Millwall were poor, but that shouldn't detract from the way we played. In the first twenty minutes we moved the ball really well, and were really breaking through a lacklustre Millwall defence at will. Jerome should have had a hat-trick within the first twenty minutes, Hooper should have had one by the end too. Adams saying double figures was possible didn't really seem like hyperbole to be honest. Johnson was excellent, and I'd have said that even if he didn't score twice. He was everywhere, defending, creating and at times offering more out wide than Redmond did. Speaking of Redmond, he started slowly but really grew into the game second half. The combination of him, Hoolahan and Hooper was a joy to watch at times late on. I'd be keen to see that from the off at some point, not that you can really fault Adams on team selection today. O'Neil was a class act, Howson perhaps had one of his quieter games but still had his moments (generally just after I'd commented on him being quiet....). Cuellar was excellent at the back, organised the defence superbly and pretty much every intervention he made was spot on. I had questions about him, but he answered each one today. I've no qualms about him keeping Turner out at the moment, heck I'd even make him captain. I could wax lyrical about pretty much every player today though, barring the twenty minutes after the second goal we made Millwall look like a pub side.
Blimey, I'm really struggling with this new site I think the match day threads will be missing for a while, I don't even seem to be able to edit my OP ? I keep getting 'the following error occurred' with nowt in the error box ???????????
Typical Tory, don't like change! We have to get used to it because the old one kept breaking, if you remember, most didn't like the old one when BBC606 closed down!
This one looks broken, and it's only just started up - doesn't bode well. For example, when I hit the 'reply' button, all of the thread 'appeared' to vanish and I found the text box by scrolling back up the page. I am sure that is not what is supposed to happen. Let's just see what happens in the next few weeks but an early assessment is - could do better 7/10
Thai, Mick has put it up now because he's off work for a few days so he can fix any problems, I will tell him about your reply problem, for me, when I hit reply, it goes to the top of the page with the cursor pulsing, so I have the whole page to type my reply if needed!
Dave, I would add a screen shot of what I get when I hit the reply button (Google Chrome and Firefox) but I can't Actually that is not true. It could be posted if it had a URL, but as it is currently on my hard drive, it don't have one. The good news is...............the edit function works
