I was quite shocked yesterday when I heard the news that Mikall Smith had snubbed Norwich WEST Ham Leicester QPR to sign for of all people Brighton . How can this be surely the opportunity of playing in the premiership would alone suffice. The answer must be he was offered more money along witha 4 year contract to up sticks and sign for Brighton. I have fond memories of Brighton having Met many of their team years ago the likes of Terry Connor Chris HUTCHINGS GERRY ARMSTRONG STEVE GATTING DANNY WILSON so its not a gripe its merely and observation this has sent shock waves through the championship there is a new kid on the block that hasn,t just come up to make up the numbers that intends to show that it has great ambitions unlike our great dictator who shows a desire simply to hoodwink the great supporters that we can be taken for a ride anytime with false promises he talks the talk like David Haye BUT WHEN IT COMES TO STEPPING UP TO THE PLATE HES BACK IN Monaco I wish he would just stay there

Poyet told him he was gonna be the Star man and would build a team around him therefore he's gonna be playing every game...he more than likely fell for Poyets ambition and enthusiasm

I was quite shocked when I heard he was going to Brighton, but it's a decision he will need to live with.
Maybe he will do well and prove the doubters wrong, maybe not.

I still wish he had come to us in January so we could at least seen if he had what it takes to play in the top flight but Barry Fry & co were never going to let him go while they were chasing for promotion.

Good luck to him and will be interesting to see how well he does.

Does he ever play on his own up front? Because I take it Poyet won't want to be playing 4-4-2.

Possibly not and perhaps we will never find out.
I know he only scored 10 for POSH last time in the Championship who were not very good, hence relegated.
Would like to see him play with a better team (no disrespect to Seagulls) but someone like Leicester, Leeds U, West Ham might have been a better move if he has PL ambitions.

i think you underestimate brighton, they could well do what norwich did and i think they are the most likely to of the promoted teams but saying that im still a little bit surprised that he signed for brighton when peterborough are in almost the same position as them and donald i doubt he could play upfront on his own
