Unfortunately for us you have got a ref who will be on your side from the first second. He is so biased I wonder if we have put a protest in...probably not allowed. If we turn up and play as last week we will win, if we play as we did with you 3 times last year we will lose. I just hope it is the former. I was not that anti-Bruce he had to go cos he did not help us to win games and it will be good to see some old players (but not I gather McShane) Good luck after today
We have never beaten Sunderland ever in 3 consecutive league matches(have won the past 2) and we have never won on Boxing day in the Premier league. We are at a nadir in form with key players missing through suspension and injury. A win would truly be great but I will predict a draw.
Fletch will start, Jozy may figure as despite several searches I haven't been able to locate him to run him over.... Giaccherini & Alavarez will both feature at some point so you'll need your wing backs sharp, skilful lads with great feet. Be a great atmosphere after our bi-annual derby win as well.
TEAMS: Sunderland v #hcafc - McGregor, Chester, Bruce, Davies, Elmohamady, Rosenior, Meyler, Quinn, Ramirez, Brady, Aluko" No idea what formation.
No way! Is that confirmed? Is it due to injuries? Surely it can't be tactical - this is a winnable game
Kinell Must be Ramirez up front with aluko off him. Midfield thre of Brady Meyer and Quinn and rosy left wing back
This is a game Bruce cannot afford to lose, so he plays for a point today and 3 points on Sunday and thus avoids the P45. If this strategy fails then he may be walking off.
01 McGregor 05 Chester 04 Bruce 06 Davies 27 Elmohamady 07 Meyler 29 Quinn 11 Brady 02 Rosenior 25 RamÃrez 24 Aluko Substitutes 03 Figueroa 09 Hernández 12 Maguire 16 Jakupovic 18 Jelavic 20 Sagbo 23 Ince
From humberside sport and phil Buckingham , really not even sure what the formation is but aluko is never going to do the job on his own upfront , surely can't be playing Ramirez upfront ?
