We've had some good keepers over the years I grew up watching Chris turner who was awesome. Then we got some right old **** after him - Seamus McDonagh, Bob Bolder, Ian Hesford (RIP), andy dibble to name a few Then tony Norman came in and was very good Alec Chaimberlin followed him in and was poor. Shay Given on loan, followed by the unpredictable Lionel Perez took us to the stadium of light era. And then tommy Sorensen rocked up, and he was class Thomas Myre was ok, then we had mr Pooooom for a while who was a bit of a crowd favourite Kelvin Davis. Wow was he a fool. Ben Alnwick, then that lad we got from spurs (who's name escapes me) Unfortunately due to injury Craig Gordon didn't realise his potential. We would have got relegated if it was not for the Migs superb shot stopping I'm happy with the 2 we currently have
Chris Turner for me was the best I've seen for us. I seem to remember a cup match against Spurs on our run to the Milk Cup final he was unbelievable - his penalty save from Graham Roberts (I think it was in the replay) being the best of the lot. Pants is playing well at the mo and if he keeps this up he could become a legend - now would be a good tome to make sure he has a decent contract in place so Rogers can't just snap him up for next to nowt.
Rodgers? Next to nowt? Rodgers would probably pay us about £113 million man he's a ****ing half wit. Built a reputation on Martinez & Costa's ground work and bluffed a job, got a fluke first season due to an unplayable striker. Now being shown up as what he is. ****e.
Fair point - must be all of yesterdays excesses pickling my brain as for a moment there I gave him far too much credit!! I can still see him weighing in with a bid though as he can't seriously think he is going to do anything with Brad Jones in nets.
£23million plus Jordan to Rodgers mate, and he goes with my blessing Aye, will have been a decent contract as well on a Bosman from City, who did offer him a deal to stay.
