    He won't be free.

    Don't you know the rules?

Course not, only your second season isn't it.

Daniel Sturridge made 21 premier league appearances, scoring 5 goals for Manchester City, before commanding a tribunal fee of £6.5m in a far less inflated market.

Ings will be anything but peanuts.

You are citing Sturridge from 2010 because there have been so few that have been allowed to get to this state. (i.e. the player is sold, or the player signs a new contract).

The tribunal fee was actually £3.5M despite the fact that this was Chelsea and Manchester City.
The additional fees were all based on appearances.

He will be sold and £7.5 will be more than enough. By the way, Ings is not what we need either.

He gives them the chance of staying up. They'd rather keep him, have a chance of staying up and forego any transfer fee.

Personally, I think he's keeping an eye on Bournemouth. He came from their, worked with Eddie Howe at Burnley. If they do maintain their position at the top of the Championship - could see him re joining them on a free.

Not a free - and Bournemouth won't be able to compete with the likes of Newcastle. Would he go back to Bournemouth for half the wages he'd earn elsewhere? Or would he take the money, the chance to be a Gallowgate hero, score in front of 55,000 and have Premier League stability?

On paper it's free - with the exception of compensation.

He's from the area - maybe Southampton?

Newcastle? Firstly, he's not French. Secondly, no further comment required.

Affordable midfielder, who isnt scared to go forward, Stan ternant, the Pro Legal group all already been connected
JACKIE McNAMARA last night warned Hull they’ll have to pay top dollar for Stuart Armstrong.

The Dundee United boss waxed lyrical about his midfield superstar after he hit the winner against the champs.

Armstrong’s second-half header added to a Nadir Ciftci opener and moved McNamara’s men within four points of top spot.

The 22-year-old’s goal came right under the nose of Hoops boss Ronny Deila, who is a huge admirer of the Scotland ace and is weighing up a January move.

Sporting Lisbon are also keen and McNamara accepts there will be speculation around his prize asset heading into the transfer window but warned he won’t leave on the cheap.

With 18 months to run on his deal, United will be able to command in excess of £2million for his signature.

McNamara said: “We would want the going rate. We don’t need to sell anybody, we’re debt free (because of hull city), everything is good.

Emile is 36 years old and played in Bolton's under 21 side last week for 63 minutes. He will partner another 36 years old in Eidur Gudjohnsen. Good luck to them both.

A second bid of £10m has also been rejected for Ings according to national medial reports today. I suspect that Ings will end up @ Southampton in the summer after seeing out his Burnley colntract.

Burnley will get compo only. But IF Ings helps keep Burnley in the PL for another season then that wont matter as much.

Not sure if this has been mentioned.....

    News in Swedish media

"Premier League club wants to sign Robin Olsen från Malmö FF"
"According to sources Hull are wanting to sign Olsen. His contract expires next summer and could pre-sign a contract during the winter break and leave as a bosman"

Not sure what the "sources" are, but he's a really solid keeper. He did a good job for them in Champions League. He's still very young (24), so still a lot to learn!

On his January transfer targets: "To be fair to the chairman since I walked through the door he's backed me but to be honest there's no one on the radar at present. If there's someone we think will make the difference then we'll ask the question."

    <laugh> Joke's on you.

He's a good player, the criticisms he received throughout his career were completely unwarranted.
