Good morning all from a cold and clear Weston-super-Mare! Have a good day and a very happy Christmas to you all. I hope Santa is very kind to you all!
Morning, Dave; morning, yorkshire. Morning everybody. Have a lovely Christmas Eve. May your day be merry and bright...
Morning all from a bright and sunny Bandit Country...was at the butchers at 06.45, so an early start. Lot's to get done as we have a few visitors this evening.. Have a wonderful Xmas everyone, I doubt I will have much time to contribute over the next few days, so have a cracker everyone
I was at the butchers at 7 WY. Way too much to do but hey ho -stops everyone moaning! Merry Christmas all.
Afternoon all, there is a bite in the wind today and it feels colder than the temperature says it is. Looks like I will have to put a log or two on the wood burner, stay in with a glass of wine and mince pie, then wait for my presents from Santa. I always get something from him as I don't feel that making remarks about his size will endear me to him. Hope you all have a good time however you celebrate the season.
It was Mme Yorkies job to go to the butchers this morning.... I walked past it at 11.00 thought nothing of it. Closing at 12.00 At 12.10 in the midst of glasses of fizz.... Mme jumps up and remembers the third thing she had to do this morning and had forgotten and speeds off to get the turkey.... shop was closed but our turkey, last one these, was waiting for us... phew.... Mind you an instant meal at Xmas would have made a change! I WAS JUST VERY THANKFUL... IT WAS NOT ME WHO HAD FORGOTTEN
I wish everybody a good day tomorrow, health and happiness, and if you are traveling a safe voyage. please log in to view this image Happy Christmas please log in to view this image
Merry Christmas everyone. For those interested Santa seems to have started his shift on time. A gorgeous day is forecast here. Unfortunately we won't be going to the beach as we are having Christmas with Mrs NZ's brother's family, who live inland. Dave will be the only one at the beach, I suspect.
Only 6 pints ? My trip to the quack yesterday proved extremely worthwhile. Gave me even stronger painkiller but also a thing called gabapentin which I think reduces inflammation in nerves and seems to have done the trick. Pain is back down to acceptable levels and I can walk without looking like a complete idiot. So trip to the family is back on and looking forward to a great Christmas. Mrs L is supplying one of her famous cakes and I have come up with the mince pies. That and a load of booze is coming with us as well as the presents - so its hey ho to see the kids and grandchildren. Have a very Merry Christmas one and all - oh and yes Brian those 6 points will be nice too
Merry Xmas and happy new year to all on here ,Hope you improve Leo ,I can sympathise after a year of munching Oxycodone like smarties, Take it easy all
Enjoy leo... And a Merry Christmas to one and all on here. View attachment 34492 I didn't think that I would be either saying that or enjoying Christmas myself this year after events of the last four weeks. My youngest son attempted suicide in November, not once but twice - events that left my whole family shell-shocked. Fortunately, he appears to have 'come through' and is enjoying life again - our greatest is to have 2015 to look forward to with him now.
BB, I just don't know what to say. I am just very, very happy for you that your Christmas will be as it should be now. May the New Year bring continuing happiness for all your family. Leo, so glad you are mobile. Don't carry too many mince pies at a time though!
So sad and yet now so pleased for you BB. My daughter tried the same thing about five years ago so I understand what you must have been going through.. Hope you and yours have a great Christmas
To all my dear Hornets, Merry Christmas to you all and hoping you and your families enjoy a wonderful New Year. BB and Leo remind us how fragile our happiness can be. I particularly send you both my warmest wishes. It's great to be back in the fold after password-losing obscurity. All the very best, ATR
