He wasn't that good when we signed him, he has sort of a cult hero status, but he's hardly been a mainstay in our defence since he came here. Brown clearly rated him, but that aside, nobody else did and as has been said, he really isn't that good. Maguire is now ahead of him, it's better that he leaves, but he should at least leave on good terms.
Why should he be in the squad? If Chester, Davies and Dawson are fit they are all ahead of him and Maguire should be to in my eyes as clearly he is the future and we brought him in for that. Macca is a decent player, it's hardly like he will keep us up by himself. I like him but he is hardly a club legend.
Maguire quite obviously isn't ahead of McShane for footballing reasons. Macca was 4th choice until this fallout.
Agreed - and the problem is Brucie keeps picking 6th choice ahead of 4th and 5th which is why there's unrest in the camp
No. Bruce picked Dawson and Davies for the Spurs game with Chester on the bench. Mcshane had a strop in the press as he had played ok against Burnley, not good just ok. Nothing to do with Alex Bruce. But you keep going with your bitter bullshit.
I'd understand if this was rosie as he seems to get the **** end of the stick, he loses his RB place to a winger who carnt defend so has to make do with the odd left back place. No matter how well he does he'll lose that place next week, and the truth is unlike mcshane rosie is the best in his position
Did he actually have a strop in the press? I don't remember seeing anything public, assumed it was a training ground bust up.
unfortunately despite his effort and 100% commitment Macca is not reliable enough in the premiership, he has and always will be prone to the major bloopers, Dawson, Chester and Davies (despite some under par performances this season) will always come first in selection. I would say he is probably on a par with Brucie jnr tbh, but throwing a strop doesn`t help his cause, first rule in footy, don`t piss the fella off that picks the team.. and sounds like he`s done this royally !
I'm kinda wondering why these football players are 'servants'. Servants don't get paid. These are employees, handsomely paid employees. When they leave, they have earned their wage, now they aren't good enough to earn a new contract. Thanks but you aren't good enough. Don't let the door hit you on the way out. simples.
The soft c**t thinks he should be in in front of Michael Dawson. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/paul-mcshane-considering-hull-future-4705484 The Irishman had started Hull's last two games but was axed to make way for Michael Dawson and now wants to know where he stands Paul McShane claims he could leave Hull in January because he has been dumped back on the sidelines by Steve Bruce. McShane was gutted to be axed from Bruce's 18-man squad for Sunday's defeat to Tottenham after starting Hull's previous two games. Bruce has offered the Republic of Ireland defender a new deal to stay at the KC Stadium, but he is reluctant to stay if he is not playing. “I can't stick around to be playing games, and playing well, and then be totally left out of a squad, because it is disheartening,” he said. “I'm not sure what will happen. Probably in January when it all kicks off again, I might know more, but that's the life of a footballer. You don't know where you'll be from one minute to the next.” McShane, 28, was left out because of Michael Dawson's return and the former Manchester United trainee says it is hard to accept. “It's a season that’s full of frustration and you can probably understand why,” he said. "Sunday was a massive disappointment, especially not to be in the squad at all. “What can you say? I feel as though I'm playing well, probably the best football of my career when I'm playing centre-back. “It's very tough to take. I'm upbeat now, but it's a killer at the time. “You have to keep picking yourself up, but how many times can you keep doing it?”
He doesn't say that from those quotes at all. He just basically says he wishes he was playing. It must be something more serious than that. If Brucie was getting rid of people for that we'd have no bugger left.
Kinell. Poor little snowflake. Thats the life of a footballer? My heart is bleeding purple piss for him. No wonder Brucies dropped the ****er and is waiting on an apology to him and the whole team. Whiney twat.
Alex Bruce hasn't done a lot wrong apart from the baggage being the bosses son carries . His errors have been on a par with Robertson , Davies and Chester .
McShane's refused to sign a new contract because he isn't in the squad. Sounds like he's not prepared to sit around picking up his hefty pay cheque if he isn't contributing to the team. If City don't sell him in January he'll walk away for nowt in the summer. Interesting times in deed.
