I think I might be the only person out there who thinks he's a good player. Never got the criticisms.
Nope, I'm the same. He keeps getting a place in Man City's team and he keeps coming up trumps for them. He's the Emile Heskey of his time; everyone who has ever played with him rates him, as do his managers, but numbskull fans can't get their head round it.
I guess weeks is accurate, as long as you mean a large number of weeks. I rate him - he's a very sound player. He's just not "fashionable", so people stag him off while talking up far less productive players. I'm not saying he'd be in my ideal England XI, but I'd always have him in the squad and ready to fill in wherever required.
