Wasps fans are not altogether enthusiastic either Mind, i couldn't believe some comments on Facebook last night from people saying they'd suppot Saracens or Harlequins instead. Not a hope in hell!
Whole thing stinks. Stinks for Wasps fans, good business for Coventry City if a bit disconcerting for their fans (think of the proposed Nigel Wray take over a few years back) but less so (pleasing) for Coventry RFC and Leicester Tigers. I've no love for Wasps but once again the fans have come second. Their spiritual home is Harrow/Wembley: Loftus Road I get totally (given the need for a bigger home in the modern game) Wycombe less so but Coventry is taking the proverbial. They missed the obvious option when Saracens moved to the Vic.
I started watching them in 1977 at Sudbury so was gutted we never moved to Watford . You're absolutely spot on though. I'd love to se a similar story to Wimbldon but it just ain't gonna happen.
Give the regular differences between the West Indies team and the WICB, the fuss over KPs autobiography last week seems extremely petty.
Just watched the Abu Dhabi GP = will be careful not to give a spoiler for now but it is good to see a competition come down to the wire on the last day
Not sure it's a good idea to change the rules in that manner. A bit like making the goals a bit bigger for the last ten minutes of a football match. Ridiculous.
The tragic accident and death of Phil Hughes has sent a shockwave through all sport, let alone cricket. My sympathies are with his family, friends and sporting colleagues. The bowler Sean Abbott will be utterly devastated and as Shane Warne rightly says he'll need all the help and support he can get, right now it's difficult to see how he could play again - I am pretty sure I couldn't. I am not sure quite how this could have been prevented. Seems to me to be the 'perfect storm' scenario. There is only so much one can do. Just so damned sad...
Totally agree with you Fez. Sometimes these things just happen. So sad. The helmet manufacturers did say that he may not have had the latest version of the helmet - not sure whether that would have had extra protection in the area where he was hit though. I am sure they will review it. Not at all the bowlers fault but probably will not help him.
Such tragic news to wake up to this morning. Thought with his family and of course the bowler who must be distraught in his own right. A young man doing what he loved taken away in a totally freak accident.
A million to one chance but it can happen. Sooner or later a spectator will get hit by a cricket ball and killed or a golf ball. Did anyone see this tragic news from August. https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&r...iD64Rk-M-d3RLDv6w&sig2=Jh1mN4RPXZxR47XHdUxI6Q
Sorry about that mate. Talk about wrong place, wrong time. I think general public are only shocked when its a famous name that is killed.
