Yeh I'd agree with that. I think UIR picked the wrong one to change. I'd include Fabregas in my team of the season, but wouldn't have disagreed if he'd picked Mata above Hazard. Given the performance of both since Mata joined us, only adds to the strength of that argument.

Hazard has scored a few lately but from the start of the season I would argue that he doesn't score enough to get in and would go Wanayama and Sneiderlin ahead of him as they've been consistent.

I expect that to change by the end of the season. The team by May will include Mata, Di Maria, Herrera, Rooney, RVP and Phil Jones <whistle>

Guess it depends on whether you're picking a midfield that could operate together or just any 4-5 midfielders. I can't see many if any wide forwards getting in ahead of Hazard (Sanchez probably aside). Sneiderlin has been great but unlikely to get in a side ahead of Matic for instance.

That would be pretty damn close to my team as well. Certainly an argument as well for Aguero up front and then a Rooney/Silva/Oscar in behind.

No one's gone for Gerrard yet....

I was just picking individuals and not looking at team balance at all.

Carricks yet to lose this season. In defensive midfield hes so far ahead of fabregas it doesnt even warrent discussion.

Rooney is in fabs position. And rooney is better. He performs against big and small sides.

Fabregas plays in the position you stuck Carrick in and has been miles ahead of any other CM in the league. You're literally the only moron on the planet who thinks otherwise.

I picked on balance. Hence tye defensively sound carrick over the massive black hole known as fabregas.

A loaf of assists from set plays and against ****e dont really impress me. Holding a side together over 6 games without defeat. That impresses me fat more.

    Bollocks.

Next you will be claiming fabregas wasnt binned for being useless at defending.

And Fabregas has been so far ahead of Carrick and Rooney offensively it doesn't warrant discussion.

Once again your failure to grasp the difference between an attacking central midfielder and a number 10 is quite embarrassing. Not sure how many times I have to hand out this lesson. Fabregas due to versatility can play in multiple positions, as can Rooney. However this season Rooneys been playing up front or at 10. Fabregas has spent almost every game playing in central midfield alongside Matic in the '8' position. Ergo, Rooney can not be in Fabs position.

Matic plays in defensive mid, everyone is picking him. So that leaves someone to play alongside him. Fabregas has been the stand out offensive central midfielder this year bar absolutely none.

Rooney may get in at 10 but most people are going for Aguero and Costa as a front 2.

Not sure what you've been smocking mate....;)

Beckham made a career out of that. Bet it impressed you then.

How many goals/assists has wonder boy Herrera got this year? He's much more comparable to Fabregas than Carrick or Rooney.

Conceded the least amount of goals in the league. If Carrick hasn't lost, Fabregas has conceded the least.

In that case Di Maria is a Madrid reject.
