Actually messaging her on Christmas eve might be a better option, interesting idea. I must ponder this some more. And a card wouldn't reach her in time.
I too felt that Xmas Day was too special...that's when you usually call those very close to you. Messaging her before Xmas would be better.
Just finished my annual supermarket worship...was busy even at 7-15. Not too traumatic as most of us were sauntering and being polite, though you always get a few idiots who rush round using trollies as battering rams as they mysteriously think they are saving time.
A huge breakthrough against rheumatoid arthritis is being reported this morning. Rheumatoid arthritis is one of the many autoimmune diseases where the body fights itself. An electronic device activated once a day by a magnet tones down vagal activity which overstimulates immune activity in these patients. Complete cures within days is reported in some patients. In one case, a woman who couldn't cross the room can now walk up and down stairs and all swelling has gone. It is thought it may be effective in other diseases such as asthma and obesity.
I was there at 6:45 but didn't have a really big shop to do; just the fresh stuff and last minute top ups. All done by 7:45 (two supermarkets)
She is special to me though I am leaning towards Christmas day but undecided.... I've never messaged anyone on Christmas eve and wished them merry christmas, that feels slightly strange. Although I have on Christmas day... and by that I just mean my main group of friends. Thank goodness I have a day to decide.
Messaging before Xmas suggests that you have remembered her, but you also have a life and will be too busy on Xmas Day. You don't want to conjure up a picture of a loner sitting in a bedsit desperate for human contact. Errr...you're not, are you?
No news of the identity of people killed in Glasgow, though they include 5 females and 1 male...with a rumour that 3 are from one family. in happier news, 4 of the 10 hospitalised people have been released.
Fran, thanks for this. Do you have a link or can you tell me where you read this please. My Dad suffers badly.

Nort Korea apparently a bit nervous about what they have started. I expect to hear of show trial and rapid execution of 'guilty' people. A man who kills his family is quite capable of sacrificing a few geeks.
My drink purchases for Christmas and New Year consisted of: 1 bottle red wine, 1 bottle white wine, 1 bottle spritzer, 1 bottle alcoholic ginger beer, and 4 cans Fosters. Wahay...wild times ahead.

My email account was hacked a few days ago and although I've changed my password I haven't received a single email in 4 days. I have contacted the provider twice but no news so far. Any ideas?
Tbf, it's more than feasible that someone would have a spare 5 minutes on Christmas day to pick up their phone and send a quick message via Facebook, even if they do have plans for Christmas day. However, I think I might text her on Christmas Eve evening, around 9:30ish, as then it's close enough to Christmas to not be too strange, but I guess I can still portray myself as super busy on Christmas Day. And like you said, it would suggest that I remembered her in advance and not been like 'oh ****, it's Christmas day and I forgot about ******'). Plus, it might be more romantic to message her the evening before. I dunno.
