Man Utd (a) Everton (h) Burnley (h) Leicester (a) What are your expectations regarding the above? I expect another defeat in Manchester, a draw with Everton followed by two wins. Our losing streak will certainly continue though I feel.
I expect defeat against Man United and that the Everton game will be tough if we haven't started to see some of our injured players coming back. I expect us to get a goalie in on loan very early in January but not in time for this game. The remaining two games should be wins.........should be.......
The next two will be tricky. We need some players back badly. Man U we'll get nowt. I'd fancy us against Everton if we had some players back. I'd hope we can pick up at 4 or 5 points. 6 or 7 would be a very good return.
Here's what I think... Man Utd (a) Lose Everton (h) Lose Burnley (h) Draw Leicester (a) Lose Pessimistic to say the least. I'll be surprised if we get anything at Old Trafford. Everton are inconsistent, but I fancy they will turn a corner and they generally do well at St James. Burnley are finding a bit of form and we struggled at Turf Moor. Leicester, we'll field a weak side and get knocked out early doors so we can concentrate on PL survival.
Wouldn't surprise me. If this happens then if Pardew doesn't go (which he won't) I see it kicking off again with the protests.
It will get nastier next time around because of yet another derby defeat. Pardew has had the pressure taken off him by some flukey wins in November which merely papered over the cracks.
The way Man Utd play may be of benefit to us - think we can sneak a win here! I'm going to be optimistic and go for 10 points from those 4 games!
We probably played better in the first 7 games than we did during that run. For me he had a system that seemed to work, saw us get all 6 wins, he then changed it at Arsenal. The same formation we had at Arsenal and Tottenham, was in use the second he took Tiote off.
Ok, flukey was perhaps a little harsh. We definitely had a game plan against the likes of Chelsea, West Brom, Man City. That is part of the infuriating thing with Pardew; he'll change a winning formula and then stick to it rigidly. Tiote has been garbage when he's played recently, same with Gouffran. They keep getting picked though. I know we have injuries. But Gouffran as an example does not offer anything other than the occasional bit of graft. Tiote plays like he doesn't want to be here.
Can't see us getting owt off Man un, Everton always tough games so I'll go for a point, Burnley I expect 3 points but they are playing some decent football, just unlucky, I think we'll get beat off Leicester in the cup.
