I'm not really an alcohol snob I don't think but Budweiser is ****e , total and utter ****e , not sure how seemingly reasonably intelligent people would buy or drink it
I'm driving all over the bloody place this Christmas so I'm not really bothering to stock up, but ignoring all the usual shyte that's always in, which some people seem to be listing anyway, I'll be getting in a few bottles of red (chateuneuf du pape however the **** its spelt is on half price in tesco for just £10 a pop) some of this mulled cider that's on offer at the coop 5er for one of those boxes with the tap on just sounds interesting to try, and a few ales - which ones I haven't yet the faintest fecking clue because I haven't bought them yet but if anyone wants to recommend some that the supermarkets always stock so I can find the buggers tomorrow, I quite like a golden/pale ale. Her indoors will probably just grab some rose and some of that crappy fruit flavoured cider which is no different to any other time of year.
Depends if you mean the US Budweiser or the proper Budweiser Budvar Czech beeras they are different animals, the Czech beer is actually very nice...the US drink is ****e
Nothing extra bought at ours but we have always got a few real ales in from Masham, as well as a case of decent farm produced Cornish Cider. We have a few bottles of decent Champagne in as well as 3-4 £20 bottles of good Bordeaux Most drunk in our house is Malt Whisky (generally Islay) or a nice Cognac. I have a bottle of Bombay Sapphire Gin for the Mrs No kids at home this year so no cheap lager
Actually considering opening the bottle I got as a gift from a client this year..... Glenfarclas 1958 Family Cask Autumn 2013 Release ..... a bit expensive but if you don't drink it why have it ?
Fact? Calm down BCC. My apologies for not having the same tastes as you. I'll just go and throw all of it in the bin.
Seems there's some whiskey folks on here, ever been to the bell inn in Driffield? They've a right collection of whiskey in there. I ****ing hate the stuff.
Best place for most of it, certainly the Fosters, Budweiser, Carlsberg & John Smiths. You can excuse the Guinness & Hobgoblin but the pasteurised bottled or canned versions are a pale imitation of the fresh draught.
Try a decent sherry cask aged malt like The Macallan (over 25 year old) and you may change your mind, there are so many different styles of whisky that until you have tried them all you never know My Mrs hated Whisky until she tried my Macallan 25 year old anniversary malt, she now loves it, but at over £1500 a bottle not very often
Bullshit. Not if you're home already. Thanks for reporting in safe and sound though, I'll be able to sleep well tonight now
Ive not tried any proper whiskys really, but whatever I have tried just tasted like ****e. Saying that if I'm out on a particularly heavy night I do drink jack Daniels and coke, coz otherwise I drink myself full to blowing with beer and have to end up making myself throw up to fit more in Still can't stand the ****e straight and I don't think JD is a proper whisky anyway.
No you are right JD is Bourbon not Whisky Blended Whisky is much different to Malt.....I love Whisky but hate blended
