I think we agree. If the name change is settled one way or other, either by the sale of the club or the FA saying no, then the Trust will have nothing to protest about. Personally I don't see any reason why a thaw cannot take place between the club and the Trust. If that happens the Trust can play a valuable role in the future. The better job it does representing supporters the less importance its birth will have. The more room there will be for people who don't like protests but would like to see an organisation that speaks for supporters. Whilst there is still the animosity within the club towards CTWD the more important it is to get a solid membership. Initially that will be a minority, but it needs to big enough for the club to notice it and to consider what to do about it.
If the funds of CTWD were transferred to the new trust & these shirts were paid for from CTWD funds then it makes sense to sell them & recoup funds for the new trust. I also see no problem with the trust selling these as CTWD is a longstanding chant of the fans & as a trust one of it's aims must still be to retain the name Hull City AFC
The Allams dont trust CTWD. A number of fans don't trust CTWD. The Hull City Supporters Trust should be just that The HULL City Supporters Trust. I think / hope that the supporters trust can become a big thing in time with lots of members If the Allams apply to change the clubs name again there's no reason why the Trust can't fight it if the members vote for that . Get some nice T.shirts made with .....Hull City Supporters Trust on.
It's a supporters trust. If you think it's a protest group posing as one, I guess that's down to your basic inability to read.
Sizes are not common. I've had L-sized garments that are genuinely large, and XL ones that are tight on me. Much easier to have the sizes in inches.
I didn't vote on the name as I missed it for some reason or other. I did respond to an email asking for thoughts, ideas about a Trust name. I had initially thought it would be prudent to to get rid of CTWD, but I changed my mind. I like City Till We Die and I have known many who were exactly that. I realised that no one who has the clubs best interests at heart could dislike that phrase. The silliness and bitterness of a despicable old man has tarnished that phrase, but it shouldn't, it should endure in our hearts and minds as supporters of our team. I think we should have kept it and bugger the daft old sod; just as I believe his actions demand that any right-thinking group should boycott his phoney meetings - the wins achieved are not worth the deception of attendance - be who you are and stop chasing recognition by deception.
