RIP Joe, doesn't seem that long ago I watched you at the City Hall
That is so strange Monty i have been listening to him for the last hour on a thread Vj sent me and just went back to the normal page to watch the match again and your threads at the top, I have just wrote on here to Vj i wondered what hendrix, lennon gallagher and kossof would be doing now if they were still alive. So sad to hear joes died loved the bloke.
His version of the Beatles "with a little help from my friends" is immense Am actually gutted about this. The bloke was a phenomenal singer.
One of the best singers I've seen live in 35 years of concert going, in Italy a few years back. A wonderful man and a national treasure, as Grandpops suggested 'another of the greats has gone', we won't see his like again.
It's not possible to be "his like" anymore thanks to Simon ****er Cowell. God I ****ing hate what that bloke has done to the music industry
Yes, quite agree. I'd happily piss in Cowell's eyes. And that little Irish pufta Walsh. Both ****ers.
Sad news. A national treasure gone. Would have loved to hear Joe do the Paul Weller song " You do something to me ". I reckon he would have nailed it. RIP Joe

Hadn`t thought of that one Davie. That song and that voice. He`d have made a cracking job of it I reckon.
I realised tonight what getting old is all about. It's when it dawns on you that the heroes who've always been with you are falling by the wayside, one by one. Then you know that, one day or another, you'll be one of them.
True right enough Smug. Makes you aware of your own mortality. Brings it home with a vengeance sometimes mate.
Thinking the very same moribund type thoughts today mate - so thought I'd have a few beers to forget about ones mortality
Devastated! No one in these corporate wrapped, ready made to order, pretty boy bands, days, will appreciate music from the stomach , heart and soul delivered by the likes of Joe. Lost for words...
