They may have an unlimited transfer budget, but there are some things money can't fix over night, and that's the loss of Tevez. Who is going to replace all the goals he scored last season. To me Balloteli and Dzeko don't realy look up to it, so I'm not to concerned about City next season in the league. Chelsea will get closest to us
I doubt if these comments were made in the spur of the moment by Clichy. Dzeko said something very similar when he joined. Seems that they have been spoonfed these comments by the "powers that be." I don't think any player gives a genuine interview when signed by City. How often have we heard a player sign and speak of the "exciting project?" All a bit hollow and it shows that they are bought by City in every sense of the word.
I had no idea that he said this until I read a few threads about it and Rio's response. Found it quite amusing at how City players still have this inferiority complex yet want us to take them seriously. Shows the level of the clubs when someone signs for United and talks about how they want to part of a family, a community that breeds success to win trophies whereas when someone signs for City, all they can do is talk about us!
Like merry said, I remember Dzeko saying exactly the same thing when he joined. Here's hoping Clichy achieves similar levels of performance to Dzeko whilst at City
