I think we've looked poor when we've had time off, we play better when the games are comming all bunched up, I'm hoping we will pick up over the Christmas period.
I'm dissapointed that we've lost considering we conceded heading towards 97minutes. We need to be better than that as the first half was terrible. But it's worth mentioning we looked so poor due to losing the midfield battle and none of those three start in midfield when everyone is available, our injuries are really costing us this season, even in positions we seem so heavily stocked in. We need some of our CM players back to fitness...
Wenger really needs to stop playing Chambers at right back. He is not a right back! Although can you play him there against us so Long and Mane can run at him all game.
Our defence is also diabolical. I think we have a better forward line at this point than you... our midfield was non existent today though.
Last time we played them and they played 3 at the back we dominated the midfield and destroyed them with possession, this time we couldn't control the ball, looked all over the place, couldn't get near them and never pressed/pressured them. It was a horrendous midfield performance.
Losing the midfield battle is what gave them the upper hand for much of the match. We need a CM or two back from injury!
Generally a bit **** all round today. We didn't create much going forward and didn't defend properly when we needed to.
THAT first 45 mins is the worst arsenal performance I have ever seen. Truly ****. Much better in the second half but Wenger really has lost it.
Serious question here - what level would Flamini be playing at if he wasn't with us? A Coquelin-Flamini midfield pairing is barely Prem standard, let alone top 4.
Tbf our ****ness this season has actually taken away some of the focus on yourselves this year. You've not been brilliant either really.
