He is such a different player when he plays like that. Composed, but he is working at such a different pace mentally and touch/turn. If we had another 1 or 2 who functioned at the same speed, we'd be a different prospect when attacking.

I thought Coates was very, very good today also. Bar the first few mins he didn't rush any challenges, marshalled their attack well and brought the ball out with confidence and ability.

I don't think I've ever seen such an odd attempt at a finish from someone who can strike the ball so well. Baffling. Decent player though.

Agreed, when he got the early yellow (which was bullshit, by the way..) I feared for him but he was superb.

Looked to me as if the one Wickham missed he had a nod in if Connor left it.

Just to add, forget that it was the derby, that puts us in striking distance of the top 10, which is a great position, if we can get 1 or 2 of the right calibre and role back, along with PVA, we could have a great season here.

Been at work for the four derby, and we've won again. I'm becoming superstious.

A win against Hull and Man U beating Newcastle puts us one point behind them and they are going to get into Europe <laugh>

Pardew blew it, Poyet nailed it, that's where the game was won in my opinion.

Taylor's gonna have a ****ing hell of a sore face tonight!

I honestly thought a season of consolidation but with PVA, Giachh n Ricky two quality signings in January and the style of football you can see Gus wants us to play it's looking good. A couple of more quality signings in the summer transfer window and I can honestly see us easily being a top ten team next season.
Admittedly av had a drink and got me rose tinted specs on after that like.

I don't think it is the drink mate, we are incredibly hard to beat and just need a bit of creativity, Alvarez, Giacc and one or 2 more we could be really strong.

We do need the wing back situation sorted mind, we can't wing it forever!

Got booked for dissent for slamming ball 2 secs after he came on, about a minute later kung fu'd Cazorla in chest for second yellow.

    Canny like.

Hahahahha. Twat. Regardless of that display I'm pleased we didn't end up signing him for the money touted. I'd have him for 6-7m and still think we could have done better.

Was it just me or did he do a kind of pixie jump down the stairs as well?

£14million man, we'd have cried real tears.
