When the line-ups were announced today, I was fairly encouraged.

It looked a fairly attacking team and Bruce was brave enough to drop Aluko and not start with dependable but ultimately no end product Quinn.

I thought we looked great until they scored then we seemed to just run out of ideas.

Worryingly on Radio Humberside, Bruce singled out Rameriz as the "one bright spot".
what ****ing game was he watching?

Still I don't want us to jettison Bruce just yet and for those Pulis kneejerkers, I actually think Pulis would turn us down due to Allams current stance on transfers.

    So what to do?

Apart waiting for Diame, Huddlestone and Dawson to come back?

Ramirez wasn't that bad. Neither was Livermore. But "that bad" doesn't win football matches.

As for Meyler. No wonder people are now hating on him. Gave the ball away a lot, constantly going backwards, etc...

    "Brave enough to drop Aluko."

Both in the WBA and this one, Aluko looked to be the creative spark! Least he was having a go.

I thought he was right to drop Aluko, but he was good when he came on. Yet again much better on the wing.

    The things that frustrated me massively today were;

    1. Meyler was absolutely dogger from the get go and still played 90 minutes.

    2. Taking Jelavic off.

    3. Putting Saggers on.

    4. The complete lack of ideas/ imagination from SB in the 2nd half when it was plainly obvious that we were creating f** all and some players were embarrassing themselves ie Meyler. The substitutions were poor, very poor.

5.The fact Brady didn't come on to inject some energy.

A bad day at the office all 'round.

Think you're completely wrong, but I'd have put on Brady ahead of him - Brady looks like a player who can get something out of nothing!

Not sure about the long term but in the short term will we be able to field a team for Boxing Day and Lester ..Jake out. Diame out..Davies looks injured.......Meyler has to be dropped after today...How Bruce approaches the next two games could have a huge say on the rest of the season...

For me I think we need to play 4-2-3-1. It seems the only formation that suits the players we now have. We are to easy to play against at the moment and need to tighten up at the back, which is why I have said four at the back. The two holding players is the only concern for me as we don't have a specialist at that position, but it would suit hudds to play alongside someone who can do it. The attacking three, we have so many players to play there so competition would be high and force players to be on their game( LW- Brady, Aluko, Quinn. AM- Gaston, Abel, Diame. RW- Elmo, Mayler?

    What does everyone else think?

Bruce will recall Ince and Figueroa for starters.

In general there is little he can do beyond what he is doing.

He has to shuffle the pack and hope for the best.

In January we need to make signings whether they are loans or permanent to inject something different, particularly in the creativity area.

I REALLY feel for Steve Bruce and I still believe in him. This is when we all need to stick together and support the players.

Based on today. Press higher and push out quicker, a lot quicker. You were trying to break 2 against 6 at one point today. Swansea were busting a gut to get back into position while you were strolling out.

Can't help feeling the balance aint there, for me rosie and elmo in front of him on the rihht, with robbo and robbie in front on the left would sort the wings out and gives us a bit of creativity doen both fkanks, I would also probably persevere eith jelly and hernandez up front, early season they looked good together, I'd look at two centre backs, with chessie being on of them. But the middle of the park got me scratching my head .. without thudd playing well we struggle for any creativity in the middle of the park

We're so lacka.fookin.daisical. How many times is it that we gain possession and then pass horizontally or backwards?

We possess no sense of urgency, nor attack.
