Martin didn't cost us today Do you think we should play a CB who is only just back from injury???? With no match practice. Away from home against a side like Derby you have to try and be compact, why play to their strengths? I think the tactics were pretty good for this match. Saying Wes will start every match is purely you speculating. I could equally say Wes will start each match and set up a goal a game for the next 5. While we were in poor form we do have 7 from the last 9 points available. Who is a LOT better then us? We haven't been fantastic and we are the 7th best in the league so far. But a season is 46 games not 22. If they leave I imagine it is not because of our current league position (more the fact we are in the Championship). Cheer up!! We played pretty well, a good away point in a game many thought we would lose.
That is your opinion - it does not mean that, as you insinuate. it is fact. We are all entitled to our opinions but to set out that you know more than Adams and various experts smacks of considerable arrogance to me. If you started with ' IMO ' might help.
Comments in bold canario. I'm sorry, but while I understand the hesitancy to be optimistic, if that's your take on the last three matches I think we need you on 24 hour surveillance.
If you look at past posts I've actually been very supportive of Adams, more than most. If we're the best team they've played this season then how come they've lost games. If we were the best team why didn't we win. If it was this one game then I'd accept that, but to be honest there have been too many games this season when we've been the 'better team' and either lost or drawn. I can't think of any promotion winning teams that you could have said this about in past years. I would suggest the most common thing that could be said about most promotion winning teams is that 'they played badly, but still grinded out a result. McClaren comments should maybe be put in context, they have lost 2 of their last 3 championship games. He'll be trying to build his teams confidence i.e. We're back in the race boys, you drew against the best team we've played this season and we're only 1 point behind the league leaders, we can build on this. Adams might have got some of his tactics right (or are then Phelhan's), but he's still persisting in playing Martin at CB, which has and is continueing to cost us goals & points this season.
Clearly it's just my opinion, but thats what this forum is for to share opinions. Cheep shot 1950. Please assume for past and future posts from me that unless something is a fact then everything I say is opinion. I really can't be arsed to put IMO in front of everything I write.
Totally agree China - great atmosphere in the Murderers!!! We could have won on another day and with a bit more luck. On today's showing, I'm quietly confident we'll at least be in the play offs come May - the complete opposite to how I felt after the Reading game. The team is playing with the confidence it had in the early games and looking forward to the game against Millwall.
We were fantastic today and keep getting better and better. Obviously the two goals we conceded were completely avoidable and I'd still play Martin at right-back but other than that I can't have any complaints. I love how Jerome's looked completely off the boil in the last two games and still scored in each of them. If he's scoring one a game when out of form then he'll comfortably get 20 goals+ this season which should help get us up the table. Hooper's going to explode into goalscoring form any game now as well (in my opinion) so I think the corner may have been turned. Terrific display. I should also add that Adams' substitutions are now becoming more effective and there does seem to now be a Plan B. Promising.
Very good win against Boro today hope you get a Lynx gift set for Christmas you great unwashed Tory t**t.
WELL DONE and hope you can keep your run going - you are there on merit and teamwork!! VERY interesting look about the top the league, with Brentford up there as well.
Plenty of time Warky you lot have been stuck down here long enough to know that there is plenty of time to balls it up. If you hold on to your best players in January then you may make it but the vultures will be circling in a couple of weeks and those debts need to be paid. Cracking result today and our draw at Derby was a good point too.
Careful Warky, You should know after being in this league for years that it can turn nasty all of a sudden. Nothing is won at Christmas.
Just relishing the moment Kempy! we know there is still a long way to go and Mick has been in this position before and he will keep the lads down to earth rest assured. Merry Christmas to you and yours Kempy!
Well done today.....it's a good result considering you were against eleven men.... Merry Christmas one and all.....
cheers gents for taking points from the rams. And may I say, hand on heart, Merry Christmas one and all budgies. hope you all have a good one and a wonderful new year. (apart from the football front of course)
