Harsh decision, but tbh reminded me of the tackle Shawcross did on Ramsey a few years back and shattered his ankle. If Young's feet had been firmly planted on the floor that could have been a nasty injury.
2 points dropped. Starting fletcher basically meant we gave up the midfield battle first half. On the plus side, Falcao!!

More extra time would have suited them not ye, anyways a point aint bad, 6 wins and a draw, not a bad haul so far going through the crimbo period.
Fletcher was terrible. Falcao is very slow. Young was very good on the left but absolute dogshite on the right. That performance encapsulated why the target this season is top 4 not the title. Chelsea and City would have exploited the soft red card and won the game.
Didn't Chelsea benefit from soft reds against City and Newcastle and failed to win either game? I appreciate that City are tougher opposition than Villa, and Chelsea were already two goals behind to Newcastle (surely that's credit to us for not being two down?), but I don't think a comparison based on one game is ever really valid. We didn't play all that well today, but we still got a point when other teams have lost on the back of similar performances. It's only a problem if we consistently drop points in games like that, which we haven't been doing recently.
Yeh i was thinking. Chelsea are a poor example. City didnt play too well against us when we had ten men for most of the game either. If anything, citys best performances havr come when they have been reduced to 10.
Don`t know if LVG rates him, but everyone who watches him play does. I think this time he is genuinly ill or he would have at least been on the bench.
People don't rate Fellaini yet he was part of a winning team. Whoever jinxed us needs to be taken out and shot The villa match seemed the easiest in the next 6 to win 3 points. That's us stuffed then! On the match itself we had a poor game no doubt about it. I think fletcher (bless him) does now need retirement. Herrera was missed. And even Fellaini could have given us an alternative. It is I suppose a measure of progress in my book that I view this draw as 2 points lost rather than 1 point saved.
Fellaini has high energy which makes up for all his short comings. He is able to increase tempo at will. I'm a fan of his and I don't get why people always try to victimize him. Maybe it's his afro! lol On another note; I haven't read anywhere that United got less than they deserved from the game. Unlike Liverpool last week where the media was going on about how much more they deserved from the game. You can't lose a game 3-0 and claim to deserve otherwise. Super ******ed!!
Missed the game but saw the starting line up - Fletcher in, Herrera out. Just don't get LVG at times. Don't understand why Anders is not one of the first names on the team sheet. On a more positive note, Falcao scores and equally importantly, plays 90 mins. Massive plus for us. And Di Maria and Rafael are back (even if on the bench). All in all, 3 points would have been great but a point is better than a kick up the bum.
