691Kg (2014) to 702Kg (2015) means that the weight saving will be crica 2.5% and the power output is equivalent to 15%+. Those are massive figures at this level.

I remember Luca Furbatto saying a few months ago that Vergne's feedback was limited, but I guess it's better than a rookie doing simulator work.

Unfortunately De La Rosa is leaving.

Considering he was still making frequent rookie mistakes this season my faith that JEV would give consistent feedback is... not high. Beats Formula E I guess.

It's almost as if they all don't expect Kimi to last the year, queueing up to nab his drive :D

That will be pretty useless unless McLaren want to see how not to do it!

It is looking even more likely that Honda have engine problems. It is being reported in a few places that Eric B is aligning McL/Honda with Ferrari and Renault on not wanting the engine freeze to kick in at the beginning of the season but to allow in season testing!!!!
It seems to me like Honda must have big problems as they don't have to abide by the engine development tokens this year. The only reason I can think that Eric is effectively asking for more time to develop the engine is they have fairly major reliability problems or they have discovered a way of getting more power but the lead time is too long to meet the engine freeze at the beginning of the season.

    Any thoughts?

I guess moving the engine freeze to the Thursday before Spain could work and be fairly fair, but then how do you say how many tokens have been used and when?

    15/03 Australia
    29/03 Malaysia
    12/04 China
    19/04 Bahrain
    03/05 Korea (TBC)
    10/05 Spain
    24/05 Monaco
    07/06 Canada

Lotus: Participation in 2015 season uncertain
The Lotus team have been listed as “subject to confirmation” on an updated FIA entry list for the 2015 Formula 1 season.

The Enstone-based team have already confirmed both Romain Grosjean and Pastor Maldonado for the new campaign, along with a switch to Mercedes power.

However, the financial strife of the multiple-championship winning outfit has been well documented in recent years and after a dismal 2014 dropped from fourth to eighth in the Constructors’ Championship, missing out on valuable prize money. The poor on track performance also means the team have now lost their seat on the F1 Strategy Group.

The Times report that there are fears amongst F1 executives that ‘a third team will collapse in the new year as the sport dithers over a multimillion-pound plan to slash costs’.

Caterham and Manor F1 - formerly known as Marussia - are both still included on the entry list, subject to confirmation, despite the two teams remaining in administration and the latter’s assets being auctioned off in mid-December.

The updated entry list also revealed that Lewis Hamilton will opt not to carry number one on his Mercedes in 2015, with the reigning world champion deciding to remain with the number 44 on his car.

I dont know if I agree with Lewis being allowed to keep #44. The #1 should always be on the champions car. Once again commercialism is ruining the soul of the sport

Don't think a number is hurting the sport much, MotoGP is doing fine with the same system. But I see where you are coming from.
