Any whispers for Pyromaniac at 20/1 in The Ladbroke. Gotta Love Tony Martin in these big handicaps.

I know this is a horse racing forum but you heard it here first. 9-1 "dead cert" 9 fold on Spurs, Swindon, West Ham, Hearts, Benfica, PSV, James Wade, Terry Jenkins, Dave Chisnell. £15 nine fold returns £151.59. There aren't any horses involved so can't lose.

IMO Irish Saint is definitely worth taking on tomorrow with Puffin Billy, Evens is way to short to take about a horse that ran 14 days ago and was beaten at odds on an Puffin Billy altho on hurdle form has a bit to find he is 3/3 at ascot winning his last chase very well indeed and at 2/1 is worth a small chance of him beating the nicholls hotshot

Good evening gents - my TV picks

    Asc
    1-50 Last Shot
    2-25 Aubusson
    3-00 Le Reve
3-30 Pine Creek good ew chance at 16-1

    Hay
    2-05 Fill The Power
    2-40 Run Ructions Run NAP
3-15 Red Danaher (not on TV)

Not on telly .... Ascot 1-15 I'm giving Grand Vision another chance to prove he is decent - 16-1 Lads in a 5 horse race, has to be worth a bob or two :D

That's The Dream (greyhound) runs tomorrow - kennel was staggered at his last run he is far better than that, but Richard says he didn't eat his evening meal. That's all I'm saying about it!

Horrendous stuff tomorrow for a Saturday, to be expected though with the proper racing just a week away.

Reve De Sivola 9/2 looks a cracking bet to me despite the negativity from the trainer, I wouldnt read too much into the form with Zarkandar last time over a trip short of 3 miles on a french track, and his run before that was over 2m3 where he would have absolutely no chance these days. 3m1 on soft ground at Ascot is a different ball game and its obvious he has been set up for this race again, worth bearing in mind he was beaten 18l by Celestial Halo before winning this last year. This is his race and at 9 going on 10 its probably his last chance of a big win, he has won 5 Grade 1s and been placed in umpteen more over the years but has always been in the shadows really, being around in the same time as Big Bucks and Quevega. I think Medinas could be the danger but Cole Harden cut his own throat trying to beat More Of That at Newbury and he was able to pick up the pieces really, and Newbury is probably a better track for him than Ascot as well.

Shelford 12/1 I put up earlier in the week and I think hes got a decent chance, the form with Aubusson already looks good and it could look even better if he runs well tomorrow in the Long Walk. Its a wide open race but id expect him to be involved at least. Ive got a couple of savers on Hello George 25/1 and Pine Creek 20/1 who are both a bit shorter now and I might go for the tricast although probably more chance in the lottery!

Cracking race in prospect over at Fairyhouse, the race of the day some might argue, Un De Sceaux takes on the mighty Rory Omoore who bounced back to form in a handicap last time and is making his chasing debut here at the age of 9. Both horses are front runners to the extreme and if I was betting on who would be leading at the first fence id have Un De Sceaux at 4/5 and Rory at 5/4, the betting for leading at the last looks a bit different but should be a good watch if Rory can put in a decent round. Minella Foru and Western Boy will no doubt be among the 12 non triers trailing in the distance after 10 seconds but both will get marks after this and could be worth a look in handicaps down the line I think.

We might just be seeing the Arkle winner here, provided Ronnie Oneill decides to go that route ;)

As Boris mentioned the racing isn't the greatest today especially with Boxing Day approaching but I found one worth a punt...

    1:40 Newc - Edmund 5/1

Running over optimum trip (2m 4f) and has a decent swing in the weights with horses that finished in front of this one over 2m last time. Worthy of a poke at a decent price methinks.

Also took a stab at a life changing Lucky 15...

    2:05 Hay - Red Admirable 12/1
    2:40 Hay - Tap Night 20/1
    3:00 Asc - Via Sundown 11/1
    3:30 Asc - Goodwood Mirage 16/1

    Good luck all!!

    3.30 Ascot CLONDAW WARRRIOR 8/1

Receives 26lb from Garde La Victoire this time, this track will suit more and that last hurdles run should put him spot on for this. Racing Post NAP and also by far my best bet of the day.

I would have expected him to be 9/2 fav and I think Activial needs to show improved form to win this.

Not really paying much attention toracing today, as i'll be at St Mary's watching the footy (through my fingers) but I can't allow Hobbs' Hello George to go unbacked in the Ladbroke's Hurdle at around 14/1. Penalties have been making things difficult for him in novice hurdles since his impressive win at Exeter in October, but he runs off nearly bottom weight here, and could be considerably better than his 129 rating. Doesn't seem to mind large fields either, though a large field of novices is a different prospect than a competitive Saturday handicap.

    13.50 Ascot- Bellenos - 5/1

Ran well enough on his seasonal reappearance over c&d, but was then reported lame lto so can be excused. Trainer does well on the track and it doesn't look the strongest handicap with nothing really an unexposed type so you know what u are going yo get with the horses but just feel Bellenos will take some beating here

Morning all. Some decent racing today to start off the festive season. I like the each way chances of Gassin Golf in the Ladbroke @ 25s. A perennial bridesmaid thus far I think he should give a good account of himself this afternoon. Significant imho that despite the trainer being very bullish about this one's prospects over fences that he's pitched in here for his seasonal bow. They must feel he's got some improvement in him over hurdles. He'll go on the soft ground, has form over further which is significant given the ground conditions and has performed very consistently in similar contests previously. Arguably his best performance being a 1 length defeat in last season's Imperial Cup.
Also done an ew lucky 31 one the above selection and:
Houblon Des Obeaux Acsot 3.00 to show The Young Master who the daddy is.
Just Cameron Haydock 12.00 to take advantage of his jockey claim
Whispering Harry Haydock 12.30 mud lover.
Toby Lerone Haydock 2.05 to follow up last week's easy victory

All the best one and all.

Don't want to put the mockers on it fuskin but you'd have to think Leicester might dig out a draw today based on law of averages.
