Same here, tuesday finish work then off for 12 days.

Sorry to hear about your old man mate.

We've got a lot to save for next year, so we're having a pretty quiet one, but to be honest that's a relief for me, I need to just relax more than anything. Got a date with the geordies on boxing day, which I'm looking forward to.

Impressive, after only a 12 week induction. He has good hands, at least catching, and not shy of handing players off.

Do you get Finnish beer mate? If their driving is anything to go by, the beer will be ****-hot.

Christmas in Finland must be a whole different ball game, are you pretty much guaranteed a white Christmas or am I just assuming all Scandinavian countries are covered in snow for the winter?

Lapin Kulta. Karhu. Or if you prefer somethong a bit more exotic, how about Le Coq (Estonian).

Finish in an hour from now then off until the 5th!

Still got some Xmas shopping to do think I will pop into Newcastle on Sunday morning to do it and then have a drink in the Strawberry to watch the lads win 3 nil again, Sounds a good plan LOL

    Do you prefer Le Coq?

Think I might have tried that Karhu before, I definitely recognise the bottle.

That's another finishing today back in on the 5th, I've missed a trick here. Turning up next week for two days, where inevitably, no work will get done so the days will drag like hell.

I had Le Coq on the ferry from Helstinki to Tallin. Nice enough it was too.

    In the toilets?

Sexual innuendos aside drink and the ferry is a bad combo for me, never again. How was Tallin by the way, heard it's good there?

Are you trying to imply Helsinki is a smelly dump by the way or is that just a typo?

I once did that, had 2 weeks left my boss paid me for them at Christmas which was nice.

Almost as good as my military days where we'd turn up for work after our 'leave' and shred our leave passes, before they were sent to admin <laugh>

We're supposed to have a white Christmas but the climate is cutting it mighty fine. Been unusually warm all December so i hope, finally, the cold and snow arrive tonight as forecast. There was v. Little snow last winter too. The year before was mental. Snowed non-stop for about 4 months from november onwards.

Finnish beer - unlike the birds and driving - is a bit average, sadly. I lived in Czech before coming here so was completely spoilt. Some good micro breweries/pubs in town for a pint or 3 on draught, other than that it's a can of Sandels for indoors. A good summer bbq beer. Not bad, but nowt special.

Just tucking into my first glass of red at home for a longgggggg time. Hmm hmmmmm.

Karhu III is decent. The logo is better than the beer though! Lapin kulta is like supping special brew. As for Le Coq, haway man. Who would ever order that at the bar?
