There are plenty of dead certs around if you look carefully. I had Mr Mole, Brick Red and Open Hearted in 3 separate accumulators yesterday. They were all in the same race and all odds against and it was a dead cert one of them would win as it was a three runner race.

3 separate accumulators and guess what I have one with Mr Mole in at 11-8. Just need some darts and footy bets to come in for a nice profit. Been doing it for 6 months with great success. Got to follow the right european teams though (eg Bayern, Real Madrid etc who win 95% of the matches they play). Got the first two in the betting in the 7.10 at Dundalk tonight in similar bets - much easier that trying to work out which one wins.

But what is the point why didn't you just do the accumulator without the 3 horses. You've just given yourself less profit if the rest of your accumulator comes in

Sure there are ways to win by backing 'very likely' winners but there's no guarantees that's all I'm saying. I agree if you look carefully and do accas across different sports, I personally have had a lot of success with NFL this season, then there's money to be made but if there was such a thing as a 'dead cert' then it'd be easy and we'd all be millionaires!

I would assume that even covering the 3 separetly would have returned a bigger profit on the accumulator that came in than an accumulator without one of these horses included

Yep. The three accumulator bets involving this were £5 each and the return on any one is £100 plus. Without the three odds against horse bets each would have only returned around £50.

Agree with NFL. New England Patriots, Denvor Broncos, Green Bay Packers - these sorts of teams can go 2 or 3 years without losing a home game in the regular season.

    But instead of doing 3 x £5 bets you are doing 1 x £15 bet that returns £150 <doh>

Unless I am been completely thick, I would have thought that cityhull is correct on your mr mole bet as 3 times the accumulator is a better return than two of the horses in the race would add to a winning accumulator. Think it is good if in the case about if at least two of the horses had been greater than 2/1 then you have a 66% chance of bettering the combination of 3 accumulators if this makes sense

On the betting side I have followed PP on his favoured 3 horses

Definitely mate, gets a bit trickier trying to play the handicaps but outrights with no handicap it can be pretty straight forward, paddy power give 20% bonus on top of any 5 fold or bigger too so can be quite profitable

There is dead certs out there though but they are few and far between - last one I won on was Italy U21 V Azerbajan U21 in October.

Corals were going both teams to score YES @ 3/1
Bet365 were Both team not to score @ 4/9

    I covered this bet
    £270 @ 3/1 = £1,080 back
    £750 @ 4/9 = £1,083 back

Score was 2-0 so I won £63 - not a lot, but it was guaranteed <cheers>

One word of warning - you need to make sure the bookies are prepared to let you do the bets before placing them both - nearly came unstuck last season with a similar bet where there was a maximum bet allowed in the small print, but luckily the other result came in - could easily have lost £400 but instead won considerably more than predicted!!

On Willys Hills its best odds guarenteed and I was banking on the winner drifting or the very regular occurance of the outsider of the 3winning.

Desilvano wins, can't say I'm as confident about my other one but should give me a run for my money and I'm a big fan of the jockey

Now it is my turn to be thick - score was 2-0. So the bet "both teams to score" was a loser (as only the Italians scored). The bet "both teams not to score" is also a loser (as the Italians scored). So how did you win £63?

I didn't realise that you guys spoke about football bets on here too, in that case I can give you two bets that I am fairly confident that will win.
    Eintracht Braunschweig 0.0 Asian @ 1.79
    Pec zwolle 0.5 Asian @ 1.81
The German one is on today and pec zwolle is on tomorrow.

It's both teams not to score, ie one or no teams to score

    Afternoon all!!

I have just turned cross-eyed trying to figure out those accumulator bets but prior to that I picked out one beast worthy of a wager in my opinion...

    Sorry, should have been clearer.

    The bet was
    Corals BTTS - Yes 3/1
    Bet365 BTTS - No 4/9

    <ok>
