I decided to try Italian kitchen 2 weekends ago before going to my friends drag act.
Julian and I arrived early and ordered 2 Sherley Temples's we were told by a spotty brat that looked as if he had been dragged up on the rough side of Napoli that they don't do cocktails.
Julian was already dressed in costume for his caberet show and the young waiter kept laughing and shouting to his friends in the back of house speaking in Italian laughing .
We ignored the brat and ordered our meal seafood soup and a spicy sausage pizza with 2 pints of Perroni .
The beers came and Julian must have been thirsty as he chugged the thing back within seconds to which the waitor responded "you a drinka like a man a" well that was it Julian grabbed his Prada purse and headed for the exit with me behind him we did not go there to be insulted .
This was totally unacceptable so we went to Qua as we are made to feel welcome there by Paolo.

About time we started helping this guy out with some 5 star reviews.

Visitors tell of being snarled at for only ordering drinks, refused water, shouted at to leave for being hikers as he didn't need their money and even being reduced to tears.

When one woman asked to use the toilet he reportedly handed her a bucket and newspaper.

Others said the owner was 'rude, 'nasty' and 'dirty', that going there was like being in a League Of Gentleman sketch and a 'horrifying' experience.

<laugh>.

Firstly this person rang at 11pm, not am. I picked up, there was a brief silenced, and then the caller hung up without speaking. Most people would not like receiving anonymous calls and we are no exception. I rang back, and told the person who answered that I was from the guest house. This woman then explained that she had been enquiring about a reservation. I advised her politely that we had been asleep since 10pm and that she had woken us up. I also added that it was much too late to be ringing a guest house.

She did not apologise and at that point I thought I had terminated the call. I then swore about her to my wife but it would appear that I hadn't pressed the correct button on the phone. I was still half asleep and it was quite dark. I did not swear at her and apologised in a private email for any words she heard. This was not intended. She did not respond and she presumably thinks it is OK to ring a B&B at 11pm. We rarely get calls after 9pm never mind 11.

It is time that people used some common sense and thought before they acted. Whether this experience merits this vicious diatribe is a mute point. Some people just cannot accept that they have behaved stupidly.
