So I get accused of being a Man Utd fan, get called all the names under the sun, get sent abusive private messages and get people calling for me to be banned for my opinion, yet I'm supposed to be more considerate of other people's opinions?
First off I thanked you for clarifying! I also asked, name one positive thing at Leeds Utd and you choose not too. It SEEMS your blinded with your vemunous hatred for Grayson that you wont support the team if he is manager? is this right? Its a simple question. Always support the team whoever is in charge mate.
Grayson didn't do well at the start of the season. We lost the opening game and suffered humiliating defeats to Barnsley and Preston. We were as low as 16th at one stage.
Of course I support the team. I'm a positive fan. We have some very talented players, just a poor manager. How come when someone criticises Jonny Howson they don't get slated like I do for criticising Grayson? I'm not spouting venom at Grayson. I'm just stating what he does wrong. It's not me who's blinded by hatred. It's others who are blinded by love. Not one person is able to say what Grayson does right or show what I say about him is wrong.
Yes Clivetime but he also got the to second place also. Let me guess your reply as it will be negative and not constructive. Grayson was garbage because he never kept them there at 2nd place. Please, please answer my question again as you never before. What positive aspect is there at Leeds Utd at this moment in time? It could be simple as we still have Snodgrass on a long contract. Please as a supporter and to show others, you must have at least ONE positive attribute about Leeds Utd.
Hi CLivetime, Well maybe if you also pointed out Graysons good points and then explained how the good point are outweighed by the negative points that would mean you have analised him. Example I think in my opinion he burns out some players, instead of resting them. I also think he sticks by players that are not performing instead of putting them in reserves to get back form. Positives he does seem to get tactics right for big games. He also seems to be loyal to his team and his team are loyal to him.
There aren't any positives, that's the point! I agree with the negatives you've stated but I disagree with the positives. The only big games he's got his tactics right in are the FA Cup games (okay that's a positive), but he never wins the big league games. He only seems to be loyal to rubbish players like Paynter. He took the captaincy off Howson, dumped Naylor like a piece of trash, sold Kasper then rubbished him, the list goes on. I've never known a manager treat players as badly.
The fact that we were 16th at one stage and 2nd at another doesn't really matter because we finished 7th. We had a poor start and a poor finish, with a good run in the middle. We have some very good players, yes. But we also have a poor manager who ignores some of those good players and has left us missing good players in key positions.
And he never takes responsibility himself, he always blames the players. After every defeat it's always the players fault, and he even blamed the best player in the back five for our poor defensive record, yet has never accepted any blame himself.
I can only give him credit for Gradel and Kisnorbo. And despite our defence going to pieces without him, and his performances probably being the biggest factor in our promotion, Grayson is insisting that Kisnorbo owes the club some loyalty.
I don't think he is poor, he has made some mistakes yes and I have to be fair and admit I am losing patience with him and the club as a whole but I am personally going to give him another season to get this club back where I think it belongs.... We blew a great chance last season to be promoted but surely that will make every player work harder to put it right (well in theory). If we are floundering in Dec/Jan then I have to agree with the doom and gloom Brigade that Grayson is not the right man to take us any further, whether it is his fault or not. Also quick question for you all: If we are floundering in Dec/Jan would KB sack him?
I believe at this moment in time Grayson is the right man for the job. I think he is the right man as you have to look at the combination of Bates and Grayson... Bates is obviously not giving Grayson too many pennies to spend, Grayson is taking a few gambles with cheap signings or freebies and most are not paying off. I would like to see what Grayson could do with a budget of 7-10 million but under Bates that just isn't going to heppen. I do get very frustrated with the lack of quality signings but if Bates is being tight there is nothing we can do about it. The sooner a buyer comes in for the club the better, I have never liked Bates and never will. I too would have thought Leeds United were a massive investment opportunity.
Grayson is poor, his signings, tactics and formations baffle everyone, those are the 3 main parts of management. Some fans on here are switched on, some are deluded, some are realistic but get dubbed as wums, its hard to pin point who's genuine
The main part of management is the results and at the moment regardless of what anyone says hes got em and about fans.. i listen to everyone except clive really, it works pretty well
QSS - if SG is so poor how on earth has he got us promoted and a very good 7th in our first season back in the Championship. Can you please explain?
Clivetime has his opinions and so do we all. He may be right and he may be wrong. With at least 12 teams/managers trying their guts out to be promoted..some will ..some wont. It is impossible in a competitive league to have sucess as a right. All the players (well most) are trying to achieve the best for their team and fans. Unless a club has unlimited resources (foreign owners) then it gets difficult for the rest to compete. Leeds have limited resources (KB) and until we realise that we must not assume we have. I hope that KB/SG achieve what we all want and I further hope that Clivetime returns sometime in the future and apologizes for doubting the aims/ambitions/ability of some staff at the club. We all have opinions and I respect anyone who puts a reasonable case to be debated. Thanks for your opinion Clivetime...I hope you are wrong and beg to differ.
