Well if you are hearing him through his posts there are 2 options. 1) kick him out of your room 2) or if he is not in your room seek immediate medical help for auditory hallucinations. If you would like to put him on your ignore list so you no longer have to see his posts, right click on his name and then hit the add to ignore button.
The logo this year is ok. It certainly could've been worse. It's not like we haven't had different badges before.
Christ on a bike. I give up. You really do not understand what is meant by the term "history". I imagine the others in your group must be cringing every time you post. I assume you now think that CTWD has gone for ever, replaced by HCST. It's like it never existed. The members have provided a slap to the face of all the hard work undertaken by CTWD on their behalf. Nice to see btw that a simple 1904 was as popular as CTWD in the recent name poll they had.
Stop pretending you don't know what people mean when they talk of our history, Happy. It's pathetically pedantic.
As opposed to claiming that any changes to the club negates our entire history? I can't believe you're accusing me of being pedantic given who I was responding to, yet again.
You mean like MK Dons winning the FA Cup? They changed their name, they changed their kit and they moved stadiums all to add to their history.
Well no. That was entirely different. As you well know. In fact, there are absolutely no plans to do "A Dons" on us, and we all know the FA wouldnt allow that again after last time, probably. I find it interesting that you use it as a scaremongering tactic though despite knowing 1. It isn't on the cards and 2. it wouldnt be allowed. For the record, MK Dons dropped all claims to Wimbledons history prior to 2007. Each club has its own history. A part of each clubs history is of course the failure of Wimbledon, their administration, the subsequent move and the total rebranding to make it a purely MK team. Their histories are both still there, intertwined at one point then split up again, but, I can't go into that any further because Kemps will accuse me of being pedantic.
I shall never forget that, the video will be kept forever! As you say, that's the kind of thing I'd of loved to do but I wouldn't have it in me!!
When AA took over, changing the kit colour was one of things he was looking at doing. Ironically, changing the club name wasn't.
I'm not scaremongering. I don't think we'll do an MK Dons, you have mis-read what I wrote based on your own assumptions about me. You said changing the name, changing the stadium and changing the kit adds to a club's history rather then stops it. The owner of MK Dons changed its name, moved to a new stadium and changed its kit, the result as you now quite rightly say is a new club with its own history. Despite MK Dons being the same registered football club that won the FA Cup. The supporters of MK Dons didn't want the history of Wimbledon and with their support the club gave up their claim to being FA Cup winners. I suspect the only club to do so. If we ever become Hull Tigers, Hull City will die for a section of our supporters and a new club will rise from the ashes. We will create our own history. AFC Wimbledon and FC United of Manchester are examples we can follow. Over time Hull Tigers would get its own history and become a different club because the community it represents will change. Its not complicated. Hull Tigers is the same club as Hull City for you. For me Hull City dies when it changes its name to Hull Tigers. The alternative of building a new club in Hull is feasible given the success of AFC Wimbledon and FC United of Manchester so I can still watch football. We'll see in January if the new owners rip up the application or carry on with trying to change the name. Interesting times ahead.
