For those who may be unaware, last Friday, fresh from his puerile appearance on Question Time and with his camera crew, Russell Brand 'invaded' a RBS office to seek a confrontation with bankers who worked there. One employee caught in the kerfuffle was so put out he's posted an open letter in the form of an online blog. It is a systematic demolishing of the biggest ego on TV, pure gold... http://blog.squandertwo.net/2014/12/an-open-letter-to-russell-brand.html
That is outstanding. I think Brand means well, he just has a very shallow understanding of everything and a politician's tendency to shout and talk over others. Can't understand why Paxman went all dewey eyed when he interviewed hiim and gave him richly undeserved credibility.
Most of that is bullshit from a wannabe blogger....Typical ****er i mean Banker that hates everyone but his yearly bonus...
Hooray, a Welsh class warrior has arrived to support millionaire Russell Brand. What, specifically, do you disagree with in that blog and why? I assume you keep whatever cash you have under your mattress rather than with a bank.
My wife works in that RBS office and he stopped her going for her Xmas piss up that Friday. Given the state she turned up later that evening, he did me a favour by blockading staff for a few hours in that building.
Brand is an ignorant junkie with an oversized ego who appears to base his persona on the character Jack Sparrow from children's Pirates of the Carribean films. Aside from Brand himself, the only people who might just take anything he utters seriously, are juveniles. The man is the definitive cretin. Irritating that he demands airtime, frankly.
Not that I disagree with you, but I'm sure Johnny Depp said he based the character on Brand. He doesn't particularly bother me and can be quite funny, but I definitley would not take anything he says seriously. The open letter did amuse me, although after watching the video, if he found that aggressive and intimidating then he has some issues!
I thought he based it on Keith Richard. Despite his recent poor performances and for all his flaws, I rather like Russell Brand. Same goes for Mr Barton.
Oh, and I rather like Ricky Gervais too. Don't know what that says about me, but I'm sure someone on here will tell me!
I also like Joey Barton, but don't like Russell Brand, purely on the way that he belittles people. By contrast Joey seems humble.
