That's a shame, I just spent the night celebrating my American friends' Independence Day with a bonfire and playing flip-cup in Leazes Park...not the classiest of nights, but didn't get hassled by police or too many homeless drunks

That was very interesting old bean. Just had Jenkins google me up so info on this Griebel chap and he has a very interesting history. Sir Charles Isham introduced his gnomes into Britain in 1847 apparently. Went to Eton with an Isham, wonder if they were related?

Not the classiest... but sounds a cracking night.

I got back from Corfu saturday morning, had a week of ruining my liver so only had 1 bottle of Magners since i've been back. Missing partying every night and going from bar to bar. And miss the people too. Made me realise how much i hate England!

So i'm having a night in with music, Doritos, dip and Dr. Pepper. Thats the life.

I find it rather interesting too. I dunno why. I don't know much about Isham, apparently nobody knows how he introduced them I believe.

Very good thanks for asking. Have not missed much to be honest, the board was totally dead last few days. I even got so bored I read the FIFA Financial Fairplay rules, all 91 pages of them. How sad is that?

    <laugh> That is pretty low!

EDIT: I'm pretty sure there's entire clubs that haven't read them yet

No I haven't seen an explanation either. Just read something that said that one of Isham's original terra cota 1847 gnomes is now valued at £2m. Blimey, I could replace my Bentley with that!

    Who hasn't?!

And yeah the gossip seems rather dead. I did get back to some classic Tash, though, that felt good - calling someone racist and a Scottish twat in the same comment is quite incredible, even for him.

That was classic Tash! <laugh> I have to hold back from commenting these days though because things seem to spiral out of control between Tash and myself if we get into a potentially hostile discussion.

Still read it all and have a laugh though :)

Bloomin' hope NUFC have though. Quite an eye opener to be honest and there are things that will effect us as it stands. Won't go into it again because I was boring enough on the fair play thread yesterday. :)

Please do. I don't know much, and there's no chance I'm reading up on it anywhere else

Every forum I've ever been on has had a Tash character. Most have had a zeTom character as well, although this forum hasn't unfortunately.

zeTom vs. Tash would be the funniest argument mankind has ever seen. The world would probably implode in on itself at how mind boggingly ridiculous the argument would turn out to be. Definitely worth it, though.

zeTom vs. T4E was a cracking little argument as well. Was so bad it was good! We need a zeTom! Ultimate FM nerd who pretended he didn't play it! Would randomly suggest German pub league players.
