Beats me why anybody would want to make a film about killing another countries leader. It's provocative and guaranteed to offend. Whether or not it qualifies as "entertainment" is down to the individual but with the movie industry kicking out all manner of mindless crud in the form of superhero movies, war movies, alien invasion movies..... the list goes on..... then the sort of individual who is likely to be attracted to The Interview is pretty well catered for. Have Sony had their freedom of speech infringed? Possibly. So, catch the individuals who are responsible for the online threats and prosecute them. Good luck with that, Sony. Meanwhile, the rest of us will get on with living our lives completely unaffected by this furore over nothing. Big fuss over nothing.
Once Sony make billions through the hype of this (almost certainly ****e) movie every **** will deliberately try to piss off sensitive groups - I'd personally be well up for investing in the film adaptation of The Satanic Verses.
