Another point! If Alnwicks injury turns out that he is classed at 80% fit......does that count as being injured? Goalkeepers and outfield players have still been picked when not fully fit in the past. At what percentage, fitness wise, is a player classed as injured and unplayable. 80%?? 60%??? 40%??? How can anybody determine whether some injuries can stop a player from playing or whether they are not fully fit but can still play! Its a bit of a grey area when somebody has to make a judgement, like in this case!!! If Alnwick is not fully fit but can still play will that entitle Newcastle to get an emergency loan??

He thinks he is. To me it just looks like a thick ****er trying his luck hoping everyone is as stupid as he is.

They'll have to recall Darlow. It's bulls**t that he can't be recalled. He can. Newcastle will just have to pay to cancel it. The Premier league will expect them to put their hands in their pocket surely. All players can be recalled or sent back if the money is paid.

If that is true then they have to call him back and compensate Forest, surely??? I'd never even thought of that scenario! Well done!!!

To be honest Bri, I couldn't give a monkeys cuss who plays for them, it's about what we do not what they do.

Are you still going to watch it in a Newcastle pub?

If you are your a better man than me, I can't even watch it with my wife and she is a SC holder at the SOL. I hate the derby's so I can only watch or listen by myself. <yikes>

EDIT - Though that will be a little unfair on Forest. In normal circumstances, as it is probably written in the contract, they would get at least a week or twos notice if Newcastle were prepared to call him back and pay compo. In this scenario they get no notice at all. No notice in order for Forest to find a replacement! Where would forest stand if Newcastle called him back instantly....would that open another can of worms????

I am mate. I'll know 60% of the mags in there though and I'm good friends with the landlord who's also a mag. Been watching the St James fixture there since Richardson's free kick. It my local at the end of the day. I feel safe there. I've always been a walk into the lions den kind of person and put myself in much more tricky situations than my local for derby day. It will be sweet fella, regardless of the result. :p

Exactly. They will have to mate. They could do that today and and register him in time. if they try and stall it so he can't be registered in time you hope the Premier league will see through it.

If forest has enough Keepers then it doesn't matter. If they don't have enough it will the forest who'll be given the emergency loan.

Daft thing in all this is that Victor Valdes is without the club. The mags could sign him without any problems.

    He's apparently registered with Monaco!

He signed a pre-contract agreement with them which still stands despite him being injured and them cancelling the deal.

Apparently, if another club sign him, Monaco are legally obliged to pay his wages, or at least a percentage of it.

    certainly is.

Obviously his lawyer has told him Monaco have to pay him at least a portion of what's owed. United were interested, not sure if they still are with De Gea's heroics but he screams money grabber to me, we have/have had enough of them at OT for my liking.

If we are struggling, I want to fight everyone, if we win everyone wants to fight me (the micky taking, goes a bit OTT) <laugh>

Oh well. That's pretty suspect but I take it. :p

Sky Claim that Alnwick is only a doubt. If that's the case then surely the Premier league will be telling them no to a loan. If he's going to fit very soon they should be told to play their fit keeper if he's not quite fit. There no rule about having to have a keeper on the bench so technically for a match a team only needs one fit keeper.

Surly it requires definitive lay offs to bring an emergency keeper. Not one who's fully fit and another who's touch and go. Think Pardew knows he has no chance and he's just setting up his excuses for the the Newcastle fans in case we make it 4 in a row. :D

Ah you see I'm not a scrapper. I fight with words and belittle anyone who has no answer and tries to resort to violence. I've avoided many a scrap by making people realise they're behaving like a wild beast. They usually end up apologising to me. Plus weather it's full of Mags or not, it's my gaff, it's a music pub before a football pub and the landlord will back me up 100%. I put reguallar money in his till, 40% of the mags in there won't be in there again until the reverse fixture. The other 60% will have a laugh with me reagardless of the result. :p

It makes you wonder why they've signed Freddie Woodman to a professional contract (making him a registered pro) when he's 17, got little to no chance of a game, his dad works at the club as well so I doubt he'll be going anywhere else.

If he wasn't registered as a pro, they'd have no issues.

Neither am I Bri, but sometimes what I think is funny, others don't. <laugh>

In all seriousness I watch the derby alone because I get screwed up and turn into a real grumpy sod and no fun to be around if we get beat. <ok>

I've had a few slaps for inappropriate jokes like <laugh>

So you're a grumpy get if we lose. But wouldn't you rather celebrate a win with people rather than alone? We all try to work on self improvement. Maybe the derbies are an area you can challenge yourself to better yourself? I was the same when we lost to anyone. If I was in a pub I just call it a day. I've learnt it just football. I still get down if we lose but i've learnt not to let it wreck my day or week like it used to. It can't be fun spending derbies alone? Though having the forum helps init.
