    I thought it seemed a tad out of place, more suited to a brothel (an establishment I assume you know only too well, with your lack of class for even suggesting it) if I don't say so myself. And I do. Har, har, har, har (See I even laugh like a posh gentleman)

    Aah, young chap. 'Twas a fine day in July 1840, and to celebrate to weather and life Philipp Griebel decided to take some opium (this is the conclusion I have come to - it's either this or he's mental). Suddenly at the bottom of his garden he saw a figure of similar stature to a leprechaun. He dashed out to it and tried to talk to it, but it had run off.

    Some while later he was in the garden when he heard the "gnome" speaking... to a friend!

    Eager to find out more about them and hopefully talk to them, he began thinking of how to catch one. At first I can only imagine a roadrunner type scenario ensued with Griebel thinking of whacky ways to catch one, but with the "gnome" escaping and Griebel ended up in hospital repeatedly. Alas, eventually he struck upon the idea that it might come out if it saw it's friends in the garden. Thus he invented the gnome.

    I am sad to say he died still in an asylum still in pursuit of the dread gnome

    EDIT: That last line is completely untrue. Well not completely he did die in pursuit of the gnome, just back then he was seen as normal I suppose

    Just had a cheeky weekend away in Wales: beautiful weather so I spent my time drinking as you do.

    Missed having all the transfer gossip and winding up Tash so I need to catch up. How is everyone?
