Not sure he is really a keeper!!!. That spill against Luds was shocking.

Migs is part of the problem but he's not the biggest part.

Gerrard (the doorman) and the 3 clowns i.e. Skrtel, Lovren and Johnson are the problem. All 4 are mediocre at what they do.

I put it down to three things mainly.

    1 - Protection from midfield
2 - Mignolet and his lack of command
3 - Lack of balance (our CB's dont look like a balance pairing like Terry and Cahill or Ramos and Varane).

Well all of the above as it all adds up. Our set piece defence has not been sorted either frankly

Exactly - it's the whole unit that needs looking at. Funny thing is, we have Manquillo, Moreno, Toure and Sakho who can form a very good defence. Then we play Lucas or Can ahead of them.

It's not perfect but it provides us with a better platform to defend - and these are players we already own. Rodgers is hell bent on playing Johnson, Skrtel and Lovren.

Johnson and now Lovren is potentially injured - can't stop smiling.

Haha shouldn't revel in players being injured but you know what - it's the only way this defence is going to progress. We just need Skrtel out and could finally have a defence that can actually defend.

Despite a comfortable win last night they still carved you open on 4 or 5 ocassions, missed a sitter at 0-0, skied another one just before HT, scored and hit a post. Against a better side e.g. Arsenal, they'd have registered a few goals against a very iffy looking backline.

Yes they did... All they needed do was play it down our left side and they cut us up.... That is totally true, undeniable

The formation with a 343 led directly to it as markovic as an lev with lovern there was ridiculous

Also Lucas tracked runs but Gerrard ball watched all night but got the plaudits from pulls as having ran the game!

I'm betting there is no way this set up goes forward to arsenal game

  16. Thing is, I've seen a few on here say we can't defend so we may as well go all out attack instead. If that's the case, we can't then start moaning that we're not defensive enough <laugh>

    I wouldn't be so sure.

He'll feel like he's hit a winning formula and I'd be surprised if he changed it for Sunday.

But this isn't the crux of the problem - the main reason why the defence is sh*t is because a) the defenders are w*nk and b) they have Gerrard ahead of them.

Now that Johnson and Lovren are injured, hopefully we can see Sakho and Manquillo starting more games, and we can then put Can/Lucas as the DM.
